Governors that can't be trusted. The governors have even ensured to make sure local govt is non functional and rationing their money for them.

The LG chairmen will have to write the governor before they can be allowed to have access to their fund.

My question is if we save a lot of money via subsidy, must we spend almost all our savings at a go?

They even force their selected chairmen to sign documents that all local government allocations were released to them in full. Meanwhile, only 30% is released to local governments monthly.

Money that will be looted by Governors and local government chairmen

I totally agree with you, the money the state governor will be looted even without paying workers salary and other development programs. These governors have been advocating for subsidy removal so as to have enough money to play around, while Nigeria masses are bleeding because of hardship. God will punish all those that make life difficult for common man. As the common man were told to make sacrifices, the government have not take any step to combat corruption and check contract inflation, which is the bane of our development.

Funny how they increased the exchange rate to collect more Naira from Nigerians to share.
What's the dollar equivalent?
During PDP, they used to give allocations in dollars and the state government can push dollars into the market

Give me proof. Soludo wanted to attempt this as the CBN governor but the states were completely against it

After 8 years of unimaginable suffering you people still queued under the sun to vote for APC ?? because of hatred, tribalism & religion

Your bigotry & hatred for Jonathan resulted in Buhari, You never learnt from your mistakes, You mocked ur neighbors because a candidate from your tribe has won but all of you are suffering the bad leadership. Buhari’s 1st 4yrs was a total disaster, you still voted him for second tenure?

Everyone was waiting for February 2023 to kick APC out, PDP had their best chance with Obi/Kwankwaso Candidacy, … but money politics brought in another Fulani man as presidential candidate, an insensitive decision by a pioneer party like PDP

Obi left and joined LP. and gathered a huge number of followers nationwide, suddenly the hatred & bigotry kicked in again and you fools went under the sun and voted for APC’s continuity..

On Election Day, lives were lost, a nursing mother was stabbed, innocent voters were attacked, property destroyed, ballot boxes stolen, NYSC staff aware intimidated ….Just so that this same party would remain in power..

I use to blame the government, but now I’ve realized that the problem of this country is the people. ………

Most people did not vote for APC

The division in the opposition on the other hand split the vote.

there is a huge difference between printing new notes to replace worn out ones and creating news notes to increase total money in circulation.

The money their sharing is from FAAC not physical notes. This happens monthly

Story for the Gods. The value of Naira is less than half what it was previously. So it simply means purchasing power will be reduced. The only advantage is for locally sourced labour and raw materials. Imported items as well as contracts domiciled in dollars will be twice their prices Now. The state Gov should look inwards for development example direct labour for road rehabilitation rather than contracts to the likes of Julius Berger.

Do julius berger charge dollars, are they not a local company, employing locals and been listed on NSE?

Still the same old thing. Robbing the poor to pay the rich. Small 10k will enter your account and automatically, N50 is taken away, the bank will charge their own and another tax will still apply on the same 10k. 10k becomes 9800 or less and at the end, it is accumulated and given to thieves in the name of president, governors, local govt. chairmen and what have you. #Sad

I tell you, useless ppl

No, opposition was split.

(And before you start, I am not a Tinubu supporter, so I am not excusing anything. I stopped believing in the rigging story since 2003, when someone wey come 12th was demanding INEC should give him victory).

The truth is, if Obi and Atiku's votes went for one party...that would have given 25% in over 30 states at least, plus a majority vote. There is nothing that Tinubu would be able to do.

We saw the same thing play out in 2011. Buhari gutted ANPP like a ileya ram to form CPC, did not get any alliances in the South, and as a result, lost the election to Jona despite PDP being supposedly unpopular.

Same thing happens in other African countries.

Once Obi left PDP for LP, the die was cast. Obi took away a lot of the southern PDP vote and a large chunk of the middle belt PDP vote. Then there were local issues like Ortom joining LP may have led to APC winning a state they should not have won.

Anyway, you don't have to believe me. But this time, there was no rigging. If PDP had not been divided, nothing that APC could do. If there was rigging, there would have been more states like Rivers. Did not happen.

The beauty of anonymity is it gives anyone the freedom to let your brain go to sleep. If you would have dared replied my statement the way you've done in a simple civics test you would have failed gloriously.

Unfortunately for you, the brain is a fast learner. It knows it doesn't need to use its processing power on your behalf.

So I expect more of the same. Enjoy it. Its liberating in some ways - the freedom not to think.
