Tinubu has done justice to subsidy removal savings. Let's hold our state governors accountable. This money triple what is usually shared by federal and state governments every month.

FG is owing nnpc 2.4 trillion. There is no savings yet. The increase is due to exchange rate floating. The proceeds from oil used to be measured at 460 now its 700 plus. Make una stop deceiving people. Regardless people will never hold their state govt accountable because there is no mechanism to do so. The judiciary and house of assembly are in bed with them

Hehehe.

It's now time to shift the blame to governors, but in the last tenure it's Buhari's fault.

My own is that let Nigeria work, the hardship is too much.

FG also has a debt of 49 trillion naira to pay....

The thing is, until we diversify away from oyel, all these savings things is a mirage for now.

Am not insulting anyone, just expressing my worry. Nigeria has a lot of work to do before we can talk of better days

What mechanism is in place to curtail the governor's excesses?

Is it the corrupt judiciary or the useless rubber stamp legislatures we have right now?

Just within a couple of weeks naira is almost 1k per dollar, fuel is selling for over 700 per liter, transportation and prices of goods are skyrocketing. What is the usefulness of subsidy removal if not to have more more to share and loot. How has these senseless policies affected the common man you promised renewed hope? but now turn and around and be choking life out of him. Very selfish set of people.

During Buhari tenure, the actual exchange was the so called black market exchange because only few people had access to 450 naira a dollar official rate. The price of dollar to naira had gone up long time under Buhari but we were decieved by what they called official rate which was not available to the masses

It's better millions of Nigerians benefit from the 1.9trition via subsidy than few politicians. Very wicked and insensitive of a govt.

That was why Buhari borrowed through out his 8 years rule because all the revenue gained from crude oil sales were used to subsidized imported petrol. 96% of remaining meager amount was used for debt servicing. Infact NNPCL didn't remit Kobo into federation account because as they sold crude, they were using the dollars to subsidized imported petrol to the extent that there was no more cash to pay subsidy NNPCL was then exchanging crude for refined petrol. It was that bad but many people don't know this.

There is nothing good here
Minimum wage would increase
In fact the revenue is almost the same if you convert it to dollar the rest is few billions saved from subsidy

There is no how minimum wage won't eache $100 that's 85k

Which is almost times 3 ... Wage bill would increase

Contract price would in increase nothing changes

There is something good there because price of dollar had since reached 700 + under Buhari govt but they didn't make it official

I think Tinubu should be commended for revealing the actual worth of naira

SMH, someone should tell him the inflation rate and forex rate.

As of today, July 19, 2023, the inflation rate in Nigeria for July 2023 is 22.79%. This is the highest inflation rate in Nigeria since September 2005. The main contributors to the high inflation rate are the cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which rose by 25.3%, and the cost of transportation, which rose by 23.9%. The Nigerian government has declared a state of emergency to tackle rising food prices and shortages

In May, 2023, Agbado filled the fuel tank of his 2012 toyota camry at the cost of N15, 000. In June and July that same year, he filled the same tank at the cost of N45, 000 and N55, 000 respectively. If the cost of filling the same tank in December is "x", find x.
