Goodman2023:
In May, 2023, Agbado filled the fuel tank of his 2012 toyota camry at the cost of N15, 000. In June and July that same year, he filled the same tank at the cost of N45, 000 and N55, 000 respectively. If the cost of filling the same tank in December is "x", find x.
Agbado will soon receive increase in his minimum wage and that will balance the equation

FG is owing nnpc 2.4 trillion. There is no savings yet. The increase is due to exchange rate floating. The proceeds from oil used to be measured at 460 now its 700 plus. Make una stop deceiving people. Regardless people will never hold their state govt accountable because there is no mechanism to do so. The judiciary and house of assembly are in bed with them
The oil was measured at 460 when people were actually buying the dollar at 700+ naira

Where you able to buy dollar at 450 official rate under Buhari?

The so called black market price was the real price after all. Tinubu is just being sincere and realistic rather than Buhari that was hiding the real value of naira

some transactions qualified for that 460. Like foreign schools fees, foreign plane tickets, pharmaceutical products, customs duties for imported items etc.

If some where able to and some could not then it is cheating

Infact only few people were able to buy dollar at 450 under Buhari

Many bought it at 450 instead of spending it abroad, they returned the dollars to Nigeria and sold it at black market price.

Many people will not appreciate what Tinubu did because of fuel hardship but he is infact on the right track

So, you didn't need to account for the subsidy the FG was paying on every litre of petrol which has now been stopped? Laughing

Governors are happier not because of having more funds for entrenching better social amenities and services but to further enrich themselves better than before.

They should, therefore, be held accountable

What mechanism is in place to curtail the governor's excesses?

Is it the corrupt judiciary or the useless rubber stamp legislatures we have right now?
Nigerians should used the same mechanism they do use on FG..

Just within a couple of weeks naira is almost 1k per dollar, fuel is selling for over 700 per liter, transportation and prices of goods are skyrocketing. What is the usefulness of subsidy removal if not to have more more to share and loot. How has these senseless policies affected the common man you promised renewed hope? but now turn and around and be choking life out of him. Very selfish set of people.
Very senseless bunch of idiots

During Buhari tenure, the actual exchange was the so called black market exchange because only few people had access to 450 naira a dollar official rate. The price of dollar to naira had gone up long time under Buhari but we were decieved by what they called official rate which was not available to the masses
Technically, it was not. For example, how come the FAAC suddenly increased astronomically? It's because the official exchange rate was calculated at 700+ instead of the usual 400ish it used to be. Did allocation actually increase? Only an idiot would think so

It was 450 to the Government and Elites of course but over 90% of the population could only access the 750.

Did you forget the post you're commenting under? It's a post talking about FAAC allocation improving astronomically which is completely false going by the fact that the exchange rate used for oil sales simply changed from 400 to 700. What the common man in the street exchange is not consequential here

Even at that, the dollar rate using 800 naira still leaves a FAAC of 2.5 Billion dollars in comparison to the previous 780 Billion naira which was about 1.7 Billion dollars at 450 naira.

If you check the allocations of previous months including last year's, you'll see that it runs into trillions sometimes and sometimes as low as 509b. It happens even under Buhari the failure - so there's nothing special here. Coupled with the exchange rate used by the central bank to convert this, it didn't even appreciate

How many times did it run into trillions? Just once at 1.1 trillion. It was even 950 Billion actually.

It ran into trillion with 400 exchange rate and it's the same thing as what happened this month. You see it happens every once in a while even under the colossal failure called Buhari and there's nothing special about it happening now even with the subsidy removal
