How Do Smart Ebonyi Graduates Get Jobs. by xpresseeve: 2:09pm On May 04, 2023
I have visited Ebonyi state a number of times. I have been to the major towns of Abakaliki and Afikpo.

In the course of my moving around I have interacted with a number of young people there. You can feel the palpable fear in their voices as they express their hopelessness in the bleak employment atmosphere that prevails in that geographical expression.

This experience leads me to the big question which is how do Ebonyi graduates manage their after school experience?

Kindly recount your experience here as an unemployed/underemployed Ebonyi graduate.

Please note that this is no pity party as the intention is to share experiences with a view to helping each other recalibrate, reposition and refocus for the future.

A few questions I would like to ask?

Has the infrastructural overhaul of the last few years borne any fruit yet? Have new companies birthed in Ebonyi?

Is the Ebonyi youth open to seeking greener pastures outside the Ebonyi territorial borders?

I graduated from Ebsu, but I've always been in Lagos, after school and service I returned to Lagos, and dived into Digital marketing, I started with Google digital skills and then applied for alot of the women in tech programs to horn my digital marketing skills, I currently work with a media and advertising agency in Lagos and I'm gradually transitioning into Product Marketing/Management and I'm grateful to God for everything

I graduated from ebsu, also I'm from Ebonyi state, after school, I had to work for some persons where I earn 20k monthly plus other field money which is not fixed. But I knew that was just for the moment.

I started learning programming withy phone then in 2021, I decided to go full into programming. I enrolled into software engineering school at decagon.

After six months, I go my first job with one of the commercial banks and since then it has been growth.

Pardon the errors lol.
