A hit below the belt for Obi;

Obi is really on this guys neck. If you were the one, would you challenge an order that was like an answer to your prayers?

He was happy that it was just a forfeiture and nothing more so asking him to challenge the order is like bringing out his legs for a second time

This Obi sef, sense will not kill you mbok
Unfortunately, the law does not react to emotional or illogical issues. The matter in question, as stated by the Chicago court, was a civil case which went without a conviction or any jail term. Whether he decided to challenge it or not is Tinubu's decision to make and no competent court will grant any hearing to his failure to challenge the forfeiture as an admission of guilt. I'm just sorry for Obi for the kind of lawyers he assembled to search for his lost manhood, they appear so inept and clueless. If that's what their closing submission is all about, Obi is gone.

It's very obvious Obi knows he didn't win... He isn't trying to prove he won, he has just been trying to get Tinubu disqualified.

Is there any sense in challenging an order from a civil case?

So, if VIO or FRSC fines me N5k today for traffic offense, is there any sense in wasting time challenging the order?

Since it’s a forfeiture resulting from a civil case, what’s the point fighting it? Tinubu was already a Senator when the forfeiture order was made against his account. So, it makes more sense to simply allow the civil forfeiture order stand than to keep wasting money on appeal. Same way we all pay VIO and FRSC fine for traffic offense without appeal.
So in sense what is you verdict if you where to be the judge.

Read the address

You throw in every advantages you have to the ring to win a case. LP prayer is for the court to declare PO as the winner or invalidate Tinubu and declare a rerun
Then stop talking about stolen mandate online.

Obi’s lawyer is trying to turn the civil forfeiture to a criminal fine.

No one actually know the cause of the forfeiture, plus the section they are relying on states clearly
More so the constitution of 1999 As Amended is unambiguous when it says 10 years from when the alleged forfeiture or conviction occurred.

Admitting but not conceding, even if Tinubu was convicted & was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment from 1993-2003, statute of limitation would have kicked in by 2013.

He is free to run for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

To defend criminality, you must suspend every sense of logical reasoning.

How does this incoherent balderdash correlate to the issue?

Why should he when the petition about forfeiture has been quashed severally

Infact all the opposition petitions are dustbin cos none of them came out with the figure they have to make them the winner, which states they have the required 25% and how they arrived at their figure
The both of them (Obi and Atiku) have only been trying to get Tinubu disqualified, they have never really tried to prove that they really won.

What criminality? A criminal in a dungeon is talking of criminality? Your existence alone is a criminal offense.

My 100usd can't be forfeited by any agency and I'd not sue them, if the money is legit. Its over 400k usd (over NGN339,000,000) we're talking, someone's life savings 😆. Millions of individual Nigerians can't see that in a lifetime
Re: Tinubu Never Challenged Forfeiture Order - Peter Obi Tells Tribunal by Benwallt(m): 10:27am On Jul 22, 2023
He said the money forfeit was his. Let me ask you too, why didn't the court take all the money in the account? Why did they do plus and minus? You can see Ibori trying to go for appeal because the money about to be taken from him was his money according to him. Tinubu has no case to answer. If the owner wants his money back he will approach the court himself. The role of Tinubu is that of a fiduciary

Narcotics and fraud are criminal cases and not civil. The order was a civil forfeiture under a deal.

One thing I know America government doesn’t take drug related issues with kids gloves,so I don’t really take Tinubu forfeiture case serious.Obi should center his case on election fraud
Re: Tinubu Never Challenged Forfeiture Order - Peter Obi Tells Tribunal by PlayerMeji: 10:28am On Jul 22, 2023
So because he didn't challenge a court verdict for forfeiture...he should not be made President?

If that's how you will defend a client in court...I m pretty much sure he's going to lose the case...

Penguin2:
The question is was VIO supposed to charge you a whopping N5million for mere traffic offense?

And this is a wrong analogy because Tinubu’s (not his bank account) offense was clearly written in the charge sheet - he was charged for narcotics. There’s nothing comparable between this and traffic offense.

Now, not only was he charged, he was ordered to forfeit a whopping $460,000 dollars and he never protested against it if he was truly innocent.

No legitimate hustler will allow the court confiscate his $10,000 dollars without threatening fire and brimstone, not to talk of when the money is above $400k.

Is Tinubu a Father Christmas?

So now we have switched from wining the elections to that Tinubu was not fit to contest.

Ok
Got it.
It’s very laughable that Obi no longer claim he won the elections like his dogs were saying earlier😂 They are now scheming to nullify the rightful winner’s victory through technicality. I thought Obi and his league of dimwits would bombard the court with massive proofs of election rigging and violence

If NNPC Madam is Thief, then Gringory Obi is also a Thief like his mentor Abubakar Atiku.

True but it wasn't a judgment but a court order,a temporary forfeiture order akin to the ones efcc usually get here before investigations are concluded pending court proceedings
It's not a temporary order neither is it just a court order. It's the settlement judgement entered in the case without prejudice to any other facts. That's what killed the case in Tinubu's favour

So, if you're arrested or your vehicle was impounded unlawfully, you can't challenge it in court? Only thieves would not.

By the way, your narrative didn't add up. This is a court case, which can be appealed against, if you dare to. Go and pull out the case file from the net and read with your eye glasses on, if you wear one
