Baba, don't mind those bunch of lazy failures. Most of them are useless to themselves and there family. They don't have sense and cannot do anything with there empty brains. Lazy set of fools that cannot amount to anything in life even if Jesus Christ personally install a president. Always insulting and blaming even for things caused by there stupid wayward lives
In 2011/12 we all had a golden opportunity to remove fuel subsidy at a time when we had enough income in the bank to do it.

You did not need to support GEJ to see the opportunity.

But your side protested, and GEJ heard you, and subsidy remained....and now we are removing it because IMF would take over our country if we don't , in a few years.

Actions have consequences. We could have had domestic refining working by now....and more money.

Sometimes, we all have to put aside politics to support good decisions.

Yeah, I support subsidy removal now, because I see what would happen if we don't. But if we had removed it in 2012, maybe things would have been much better now.

There is general and growing reduction in productivity and economic activity.
The effect of this will be contraction of the economy leading to job losses and other untoward effects on the Nigerian economy.
If this contraction occurs there will be the feared economic recession, perhaps on a percentage not even witnessed in the cursed administration of Buhari.
I wonder if this people even understand what is going on and more still to come if someone with some brain matter doesn't use it and tell this government led by a successive senile individual that there is deep trouble in the land and something drastic has to give.
Tinubu is a f ool and people are cheering him on when in sane climes murmurings of a coup, uprising or unparalled civil obedience would have been going on.
It's stu pudity, senility and a failed administrator that will announce total removal of fuel subsidy in one fell swoop without having put in place shock absorbers to take care of the effects commonsense should have told him will arise.
Gradual removal was another option the imbe should have chosen.
To compound matters he also in the same period deregulated the foreign exchange market!
Buhari was an incompetent, senile, clannish bigot.
But some people may have elected a mad man into office or a man that is constantly high on drugs!!

This government has succeeded in shooting itself in the foot, a lot of things will be affected in the coming months; not just living standards alone but things like productivity etc.
In my last company till I left last year, normal working regiment was not regained post COVID and ENDSARS coupled with Buhari 's harsh economics because the company had to downsize, cut staff buses etc and placed many on half salary/redundancy etc.
Just this week that I was on the island, I learnt many companies now work 3 days with some even 2 days just to balance out the cost of fuel for generator, buses and pool cars plus the salaries at the end of the month.
Some have even issued letters of termination to some staff due to fault that is totally not theirs......we are on a long thing with the Balablu in the town hall 🤔🤔🤔

Them don use this one brain 🧠 fry dodo.
If a person can survive in this present economy, he is not lazy. You think people are happy spending 617 per liter for petrol?.

You remove subsidy.
No prior notice, no regulation, no cushioning effect of remedy before the incessant action was taken.

Only... 8k parliative that includes themselves too.

8k cannot feed my family for 2 days.

Sense is far from APC and it's supporters.
I have already described the kind of person you people are and I am not surprised a bastard among those i described will try to show himself confirming my submission

I don't know why but I am beginning to sense the Naira's true value may hover between 830-1,100. I know it is frightening but it might be the truth. This might be the new normal.

The economy turned out to be far worse than expected. Unmet demand for forex was a reported $12bn. Of course, not all were genuine but to buy at the official rate and to roundtrip for sale at the BDC or parallel market rate.

I sense even if the CBN chooses to defend the Naira, and fight inflation, it would firm up in value (probably hit 650-680 range) but would eventually have to fall when central bank realises that the currency may be to strong at that rate.

A country like Nigeria needs to make its currency weaker than it should be in order to encourage exports, moderate imports, build the foreign reserves and to keep the current account surplus in a healthy state.

The government needs to go overboard in seeking foreign investment. The fuel subsidy removal will drag growth down but huge foreign direct investment into the country should perk things up. Portfolio investment would also be very welcome. This can to some extent counter any drag
Just like USA, Britain, Canada and EU members devalued their own currencies Abi? Even the Ghanaian Cedi is getting stronger and stronger.

I could have loved it more if Tinubu has sold off all his official cars or reduced them to 406 Peugeot,.
I could have loved it if he has slashed salary and benefits to 40%

I could have loved it if the Vice President has done equally the same.

I could have loved to see the Senators and HR do same...
What of Governors?
Local Government Chairmen?

Do you know it is still the same number of cars the President, Ice, Senators etc, all Governors still use, and take budget for their fueling whether PMS sells at #2,000 per literhuh?

Who is really suffering and who is really telling others to have patiencehuh?

You enter into a car bought with Millions from the same tax payers money masses suffer to get, eat more than three square meals, live large even your kids , all are abroad ....

And you come to tell Nigerians to have patiencehuh?

Why not bring all your kids at home, let's see the effect of the hardship on them then we can begin to understand these Politicians...

That's why President said you should allow the poor to breathe....lols

My happiness is that he didn't say we should allow Obidients poor masses to breathe , he included even the zombies that supported him.

Tinubu has run this country aground

Things that never happened before now happening. He just wants to be president, he has nothing to offer Nigerians .

Tinubu might be the worst president Nigeria ever has with the look of think
Anyone who has evil intention for the country or whose intention knowingly or knowingly would run down the country has his days numbered.

Try and educate yourself rather than get angry. It is like cursing a mathematician from saying 1+1= 2

The Ghanaian Cedi was $1- 1 Cedi in 2007. Today is 11.40. It might have strengthened recently but the currency is notorious for its persistent depreciation.

You have no shame!
1US dollar exchanges for only 11.4 Cedis
and you are advocating for the same 1 US dollar to exchange for 1,000 Naira!
Can you imagine that.
Use one adjective to describe yourself now!!!

Subsidy removal on its own is a good thing. But removing it when the entire world is just recovering from a global pandemic is cruel. Nigeria doesn't have a social net to cushion the effect.
