Am I the only one that dislikes this conversion/upgrading stuff?? Like converting a petrol engine to CNG or LPG? Upgrading a 2007 car to a 2035 version? If you want a CNG car, by all means buy a certified CNG car from a manufacturer.
Do some research before you speak, the engine doesn't care what's the fuel as long it's able to achieve combustion.
And besides, it's just one component that's converted not the entire vehicle. And it's not supposed to be expensive though. Just that many people don't know much about the skill yet.

You're still getting it completely wrong .. your analysis is absolutely online oriented
BoldBrainz:
Well, recalculating with this your updated price implies that 10 litres will amount to 2300 naira, which equals 13,800 naira for a full tank capacity of 60 litres. This amount covers 170km of driving. An additional 20 litres at 4,600 to cover for what's left of the Kaduna to Abuja distance, puts the total gas expenditure for that one trip at 18,400 naira. And you people say this CNG is supposed to be cheaper?

Even if we're to use the current fuel price of 617 for this analysis, it is still relatively cheaper than using CNG. You need approximately 25 litres of fuel to drive from Kaduna to Abuja. That quantity at 617 naira sums up to 15,425 naira. That is 2,975 naira less than you'll spend on CNG.

So what exactly is the profitable advantage CNG has over fuel?

So all these regions use CNG? You are paid to push useless narratives because you are naturally wicked and uselessly tribalistic.

If Peter Obi did the same thing,it's people like you that will galvanize idiots to OJOTA.

CNG is not sold in litres but cubic meters.
A 60 litres cylinder will only hold about 12scm of gas.
That's 230 × 12.

Lpg is butane - for cooking

CNG is methane - for cars and trucks.

The standard tank that you see in the boot of different cars is 16scm..

And that will take you for say 110km..

So 230x16=?

Although some Hilux and mini pick up trucks do carry two tanks.

These tanks are quite very heavy .

In the morning ,You always start your car with fuel , and drive for say 3km ,before you switch to gas....

Most times it's required you start engine with fuel

Nothing bad to change, the world is moving from fossil fuels...why blaming Tinubu for increase, when even a baby knows it's because of removal of subsidy that made fuel price rise.
Is CNG not a fossil fuel?

I know obidients are slow, but I mean generally the world is moving from fossil fuels to renewable energy, electric cars etc, am telling him change is common and normal. You obidients are dull and slow, everything must be spelt out to you, no wonder mediocre Obi who could not do anything in his hometown is using you people like zombies. Dumb head.

Thank you profusely for the correction.
In essence, how can you easily convert that SI unit being cubic meters to the equivalent of litres, so others can have a better understanding of the subject matter?

I don't know if it's an S.I. Unit, I think the litres is divided by 5 to get the cubic metre it can hold.
Generally, a 30 litre cylinder for a tricycle holds about 6 scm of gas while a 75 litres cylinder holds about 15 scm of gas.

One litre of CNG is 0.48kg

Let's hope the greedy Nigeria oil cartel do not raise the price of CNG beyond reasonable limits . They pushed it from 80 to 200 in just 4 weeks and now 230.

A gas given to us freely by Allah , currently being flared and wasted in billions of scm daily in the Niger Delta polluting everywhere .

I see no reason why CNG should ever sell above 100

A litre of CNG costs 100 naira.

A 60 litre tank is going to cost 6000 naira to get filled.

Driving a 60 litre tank for 170km invariably means, travelling from Kaduna to Abuja is going to empty your tank somewhere around Jere market or a bit further, and you'll have to drive into a gas station for a top-up before progressing to Abuja.

Summarily, you'll spend approximately 8000 naira on gas for the trip. Same distance that ordinarily would require about 25 litres of fuel at 190, which sums up to about 4,900 naira. Then you consider the inconvenience of driving into a gas station while on the journey (that is even if there'll be the possibility you'll find gas stations everywhere on Nigerian express ways during trips).

Oh well!
Your analysis is very wrong

Re: CNG Cost 100 Naira, Full Tank Last 170 Kilometers (vid) by RuggedBiafran: 10:49pm On Jul 23, 2023
Why should fuel be expensive.?

Is it my fault your borders are porously useless?

Is it my fault that your refineries are moribund and useless?

Is it my fault that you import fuel from refineries world over including refineries owned by your so called leaders?

Is it my fault that Dangotes refinery is not even ready to help you.?

In All Arabian countries fuel is cheap when compared to basic income. In those countries their leaders think about it's people. But in NIGERIA, your leaders loot you dry and use the money meant to develop you, in impressing the same Arabs who work for their people.

Nobody buys that subsidy removal crap..it's just plain bullshyt..spits

I advice you do it ,if you have the money
