I saw this via the internet

penalty for knowingly and intentionally allowing one's bank accounts to be used to launder drug money can vary depending on the country and the specific circumstances of the case. However, in general, the penalties can be severe, including:

Imprisonment: In the United States, the maximum penalty for money laundering is 20 years in prison.
Fines: The maximum fine for money laundering in the United States is $500,000, or twice the value of the laundered funds.
Forfeiture: The government may seize any assets that were used to commit money laundering, or that were acquired with the proceeds of money laundering.
Civil penalties: The government may also impose civil penalties on individuals and businesses that engage in money laundering.
In addition to the criminal penalties, individuals who are convicted of money laundering may also face professional and social consequences. For example, they may be disbarred from practicing law or lose their jobs.

The penalties for money laundering are designed to deter people from engaging in this type of criminal activity. They also send a message that the government will not tolerate money laundering, and that those who are caught will be punished severely.

In the case of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the penalties that he could face for knowingly and intentionally allowing his bank accounts to be used to launder drug money would depend on the specific circumstances of the case. However, the penalties could be severe, including imprisonment, fines, and forfeiture.

But FBI in 2003 says no criminal record of Tinubu in U.S.
This means even the forfeiture wasn't a criminal charge.
Without conviction of crime, Tinubu cannot be disqualified.

It's no longer Chicago certificate dem don go back to $460k shit dem just dey go round round and round like pesin driving a car and get to a roundabout and have sudden "dementia attack" wallahi hin go round the roundabout for 1,000 time if no police to stop him na so Obi case be.

Losers are always bitter the more he drag this shit the more disgrace loading for him. The truth Tinubu will spend 8 years and nothing go shelle. And the funniest thing is by 2031 Ribadu or Marwa is your next President and Edo man called "Imomulen" or River man called Wike go carry the president after Ribadu or Marwa na so the arrangement be. Nothing dey change it....

This news raises valid concerns about Bola Tinubu's eligibility to run for president. If he is associated with a $460k forfeiture, it reflects poorly on his integrity and ability to uphold the office of the president. It is crucial for elected officials to have a clean record and demonstrate transparency in financial matters. Such allegations cast doubt on Tinubu's suitability for the highest position in the country and must be thoroughly investigated and addressed before any decision on his candidacy is made.

This is a total waste of time by Obi and it reeks of desperation, seeing as the civil forfeiture never had a criminal law component to it. While this ridiculous gambit may play well to Obi's gallery of diehard followers, who will believe anything negative said about Tinubu out of tribal animus, no judge is going to give this argument even a moment of serious consideration.

I have to wonder what exactly Obi is hoping to get out of all this, given the reality that he came 3rd in the polls, not 2nd. Let us assume he and his tribal warriors get their fondest wish, and Tinubu is somehow disqualified: the end result would only be the appointment of Atiku, not an Obi presidency. Obi has offered absolutely zero evidence that he managed better than the 3rd place finish allotted to him, so what on earth is all this talk of a "mandate" based on, other than hot air and childish dreaming?
