To answer your question I am not happy with the killing of anybody...but if you start burning shops and police stations instead of embracing referendum that is exactly what you get.

As for those live streamers, they didn't lie but they are ignorant. BBC were on ground - CNN were not. Now BBC clearly said they witnessed the start of the shootings but they didn't see any killings. Becasue the military were shooting blanks.

The average Nigerian doesn't have the first idea what blanks are so of course when they see military men shooting at them, they used they were being shot at with live bullets whereas that would make no sense. The same live streams said they approached the military to ask them why they were shooting at them and according to them the soldiers replied that it was an order from above.

Sir, have you ever seen people casually walking up to soldiers who are supposedly already shooting at you? So the bullets didn't enter them as they were walking up to the soldiers? So the soldiers stopped shooting long enough to sit around and chat with them then resumed after they left?

We need to be logical.

Lagos state government says the bodies were not from the toll gate and that rather, they were from incidents that occurred around the state that day.

That suggest that they were killed by the thugs who took over the protest, and possibly by police too.
