True Christians (Jehovah's Witnesses) are in China though our activities in that country is restricted due to long history of chaos caused religious sects who were meddling in politics.
But nobody on this planet today can say he or she hasn't heard of Jehovah's Witnesses.
The Russians government made the group so popular due to what they did to us in the year 2017 that year our group was labelled "EXTREMIST GROUP"
There is no country on this planet where the news did not reach that the world's most peaceful and peace loving group was labelled EXTREMIST like killer groups.
So if your Chinese friend is truly a good man he supposed to ask why a peaceful group like that were banned as EXTREMISTS but if he just discard the matter saying he's not concerned then tell me how the true God will treat his case! Luke 10:30-37

Good question!
Just like the group name "CHRISTIANS" has been profaned due to the activities of the Catholic Church during the dark ages, the long struggle between Muslims and Buddhists in China has caused so much chaos in the past in fact that's why most people think China is an atheist country but it's a lie!
What the Chinese want now is freethinker's system of government so if you're elected into public office note that the people voted you due to the qualities they found in you not your God, so keep the word of your God to yourself and deliver what they voted you for.
So in their parliament no God is mentioned in order to keep Gods away from their reasoning this is the result of killings they've experienced in the past when Muslims are trying to force their book on them.

That's why he can't think of Muslims at all.

If they could present any group that's peaceful and peace loving none political then they will have a chance but Muslims can't do without meddling in the political affairs of where they are and instead of reasoning objectively their book overshadow their power of reasoning.

Your thread is all about one man in China but there are billions of good people around the world based on each person's perspective.
So for you to have brought up the case of a man in far away China as a case study for millions of people on Nairaland why not think of millions who have vowed never to raise weapons against anyone no matter what happens and are speaking one on one with their neighbours on how to make peace reign within human society?
Ọmọ 99.9999 people will prove to be good provided they're the ones rich and rendering help to the less privileged but for a change let them be the ones looking up to someone for help that's when you will know those who are truly virtuous!

So if your Chinese friend only does what he knew as good within his neighbourhood but failed to note how the authority in his neighbouring country treated peaceful people who have dedicated their lives to seeking peace then there's nothing to learn about him.
He's just like the rich Jewish man who claimed he has been keeping the law from his youth meanwhile Jesus said that man has lost his chances of everlasting life. So let your Chinese friend live the rest of his life without God he has nothing to be remembered for in the kingdom of the true God!

A Christian's Perspective:

Let's look at the reasons why he would have gone to hell...
• If he really lived that sinless life, then no hell for him
• Did anyone try to preach Christ to him and he refused to accept? Probably some little hell for him
• Original (inherited) sin is something to consider, but that may not necessarily lead to hell

Again, let's look at reasons why he will make Heaven...
• He never accepted Christ, so no Heaven. Simple.

He'll probably get a little lashing in hell (remember, hell is not a place of eternal torment... You only pay according to your sins).
The old man will only pay for what God considers as sin.
He'll make it to the second life (like we all will) and probably be one of the best Christians there...

So therefore, according to the Bible, he's not born again or saved by works and good behavior. According to the Bible, he must be born again. If he is not born again, he has no other option but hell fire according to the Bible.
