The estimated population of ebonyi state as estimated in 2016 is 3.4million, how come Ebonyi state has 3.6m poor people? And you now say that 3.6m account for 78% of the population in Ebonyi state. Does it mean that Ebonyi state is now about 5million people? And according to the maths here, Ebonyi state is more populated than Abia state. 😂😂😂

helinues:the figure does. It make sense. Ebonyi cannot be more populated than Abia state. Ebonyi cannot have 3.6million poor people. It's not possible. |

First ask yourself, what is the Multidimensional Poverty Measure? It is an index that measures the percentage of households in a country deprived along three dimensions –monetary poverty, education, and basic infrastructure services. To capture a more complete picture of poverty, anyone who experiences a shortage in the economy so that they cannot meet their basic needs falls below par on the Multidimensional Poverty Index. Now look again at Ebonyi State and ask yourself how many people can boast of not suffering deprivation of basic infrastructure services, from the CBN induced cash crunch last year to the recent hike in fuel pump price? You'll begin to understand that although you don’t seat by the roadside to beg for alms, if you’re not in the political class, then you’re in the same group with the roadside beggar! ![]() Whistling na all of us be ashawo in Fireboy’s voice.... |
