Kwara man dies from a head collision while running from a shepherd dog

In a tragic incident in Ilorin, Kwara State, a man named Mohammed Faworaja lost his life while attempting to flee from a German shepherd dog. The unfortunate incident occurred around Asa Dam, in the Warah-Osin area, Ilorin West Local Government Area.

According to a reliable source who wished to remain anonymous, the unleashed dog chased Mohammed, leading him to collide with an electric pole. This collision caused fatal internal injuries, resulting in his untimely death. Heartbreakingly, beside the pole where the accident occurred, the canned fish (Sardine) he went to purchase was found lying.

Mohammed Faworaja was a friendly individual believed to be around 33 years old and served as the main provider for his family. His sudden demise has left the family devastated, particularly his father, who had retired and entrusted everything to him.

The local authorities, including the police, have taken action in response to the incident. The dog's owner has been apprehended, and a thorough investigation is underway, as confirmed by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ajayi Okasanmi.

Son of mankind, take up a lamentation for this incident.
cry
Oh that the pole was not there and the dog chained!
Chased by a dog, killed by a pole.
Let the dog owner be arrested and prosecuted for leaving such a dangerous pet on the loose.
Let the dog be killed and its body given to 404 diet.
Let the pole be broken or uprooted and replaced.
A life had been taken by both.

Now he is dead and his beloved family left to the care of no one!
How shall his children feed?
How shall his wife feel?
How shall his mother react to this ugly news?
What shall be said to his father who had said, "He will bury me when I'm done."?
How can some people be careless?
How can these things happen to the innocent?
RIP I say, RIP.
RIP to the dead.

So many dog owners are extremely careless with their poorly/badly trained canines.

You do not live in a gated compound, and you leave aggressive dogs such as this German shepherd unleashed. Some even leave breeds such as the dreadful American pitbull terrier unchained.

Na waooh! Who we go blame now - The dog, the owner, the victim or the electric pole?

I am very very familiar with this story, let me debunk the misleading story line.

1. The dog in the question has been sick and was suffering from partial paralysis. Therefore couldn’t have pursued anyone to the extent of sustaining any form of serious injury.

2. The late brother was a neighbour to the owner of the dog

3. The late brother ran out of fear, he wasn’t being pursued nor attacked by the dog. Meanwhile how could a grown man run to so much to the extent of hitting his body part and dying in the process?

4. The brother was rushed to the hospital and the first thing they did was to start injecting him with pain relievers without proper a diagnosis

The brother has since been buried and the family have decided not to pursue any case.

May his soul Rest In Peace.

May we not be victims of any bad circumstances...Amen

I don't get why people around here are so afraid of dogs. I mean it's just a dog. If it gets aggressive and attacks you, stand your ground and give it a good kick or punch or anything. Damn!
If you get bit, hold the owner accountable for it but don't fvcking run!

Do people now visit hospitals just because they are afraid?
Your points 3 & 4 don't add up.

The owner of the dog for being careless; the dog for being ruthless. I hope the owner gets to spend time behind bars and the dog brutally killed...I hate irresponsible people!
