Nigeria To Become The World's Fifth Largest Economy By 2075 by MrPristine(op): 1:15pm On Jul 28, 2023
According to this projection, Nigeria has the capacity to become the fifth biggest economy in the world within the next fifty years.

Personally, I believe that we have the potential to achieve the feat within the next thirty years but we may never achieve our potential as long as we keep allowing our very worst to be in the driver's seat of the country's leadership.

To achieve this, we will have to put in place successive leaderships that have a growth mindset and prioritizes developing our human capital to be able to effectively harness the huge resources our country has been blessed with.

We need to continually promote policies that will stimulate productivity within the economy and by so doing, we will not only be creating jobs for our people but we will be creating wealth for the generations coming after us.

Nigeria is truly blessed, it is up to us to unlock the huge potentials that is inherent in the country.

This is because the population is supposed to triple by then. GDP per capita isn't going up. But keep celebrating poverty

Nobody will be sleeping; serious countries expand their economic frontiers and overtake unserious ones. Singapore has 7 million people and their GDP is over $300 billion, while Nigeria with 220 million unproductive human beings has a little over $400 billion. As for South Korea, those guys are a little over 52 million and are doing over $1 trillion in GDP. In summary, African countries need to wake up and understudy these Asians. We cannot continue to be the leeches of this world.

On second thought, we should now be asking, "What projections have ever come to pass?" That's because nobody knows the future. For instance, for over two decades, economic pundits projected that the Chinese economy would overtake the American economy, but we have yet to see that happen.

No African will be capable of governing the United Federal Republic of Nigeria in its current state and with this present constitution and succeed by the year 2075.

We can achieve it.

But sit at home must stop in the southeast so this could be achieved faster.

For example, Ogun IGR is bigger than the entire southeast, Oyo is 2x that of Anambra

Southeast is by far the least in the south

It was actually under Obasanjo that we were the third fastest growing economy in the world, under GEJ, the growth rate slowed down considerably but Nigeria got the recognition of being the biggest economy in Africa which was mostly as a result of the growth enjoyed during the Obasanjo years

Every projection about Nigeria usually turns opposite, reminds me of vision 2020, we will be deluded to think we can make it as top five economies in the world like this.
