That turf didn’t do him any favors there. It’s a terrible pitch they’re playing on.

He lost it at the first bounce of the ball.

Very bad tackle.

Person wey dey quick get injury going that hard on another player and in a pre-season game? Not needed at all.

Seems Nkuku is just precautionary?

Jackson... Close.
Could have finished that though.
keeper did a good job covering as much space as possible, that was a one hit shot

Nothing wrong with back passes if they don't dull your attack 😀

I hope he is

Speaking of James, when he went down earlier my heart skipped a beat, mehn that dude needs to stay fit, can't shake the feeling he is like glass about to break every time he falls, I almost forget how strong he is

True but he shot straight at the keeper. imo him suppose spin that ball with his inside foot. Bottom right corner was there for the taking..

All in all, he tried.

So far, we’ve not been decisive in front of goal, with only one shot on target recorded.

Creating chances upon chances against a top opposition was never going to come easy but we’ve squeezed out a few and should have buried them.

Sterling has been seeing lot of the ball tonight but has failed to make any significant impact on the third half.

I feel we’ll have a long season if Nkunku stays out for so long at any point. He seems to be the only one who links up play perfectly well with Jackson.

ya would agree if I didn't watch Chelsea's right side

Anyway loving Chukwuemeka Enzo and must add Gallagher (doing showing what Caicedo in the team might be) he played deeper and was better than what he usually is in that position, showed what coaching can do to a good player. And ya Chukwuemeka from 8 to 10, back to 8, his progression be it passing or running with the ball, class. If he was Bellingham and bought for 100m nobody would call him a back up but a starter

ya he did, was expecting that to be a goal though, especially with his second chance though that was a bit further from goal.

His game has been great, he's got to be a starter even if it means Nkunku playing 10 or wings and we get another striker to back him up

Modryk isn't ready to make the lwf his... The attack cooled off after nkunku left the pitch..
I'm looking forward to watching Nkunku and Jackson. I feel these guys will wow a lot.
Chukwuemeka is becoming serious tactically.
Under poch,I believe chukwuemeka will improve a lot. Gallagher will worth more than 50 million if he keeps improving.
Finishing top half of the table is sure I believe

sterling is supposed to be Chelsea's best player, had two chances or even more to have passed but played it like an unserious friendly. No way he plays that under Pep and starts the next match. I don't give him stick for his wack dribbling skills but he has to make better decisions.
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Griffon: 2:44am On Aug 03, 2023
Brace up boys, you’ll be seeing more of the long balls from the back this season. Poch seems to be working on different in-game plans and those long balls are definitely in his list.

He has a striker whose timing and runs are bliss, he’ll be making the most of that.
