I have discovered that people get discouraged from buying Hyundai vehicles in Nigeria and told to go for other brands like Toyota or Honda.

Please I will like to know why Toyota or Honda is always recommended to prospective Hyundai buyers.

very costly spare parts

Toyota and honda has alot of used spare parts. Unlike other brand. Not like other brands are not good

Are people really getting discouraged?, I think hyundai is even getting more common on our roads, especially in the west, can't say for other parts anyway.

I am certain the answer is because of the engine. Hyundai has embraced GDI technology, that tech is dicey and the reliability is questionable.
