A typical Nigerian man reasoning/mentality. Have you bothered to follow this situation, and know the true reason behind their action? Ethnic and religious card no go kill una.

Throwback:
Impose the sanctions fully and Niger will be crippled.

The illegitimate military dictatorship in Niger must be brought to its knees.

The President from the minority Arab tribe must be allowed to finish his 1st term and then "sacked" from office by denial of a 2nd term in a democratic election.

That is the constitution of Niger Republic.

Nigeria must stand its ground that no illegitimate or military rule will be further entertained in any West African state.

The majority Hausa that are rejoicing and their cousins in Nigeria who are also supporting, would not have done so if it was a minority Arab military leader that toppled the democratic regime of any of the past Hausa Presidents of Niger.

For the 1st time, the minority Niger Arab who are better known for street begging with their children in Nigerian cities, have managed to build a political coalition that allowed them get to national power, then suddenly the Hausa/Fulani/Djerma gang up to quickly push them out of power with the illegitimate military coup that we all know would later handover power back to a civilian government that is certainly going to be Hausa.

Is it that they cannot stomach being out of power for just 5yrs that a presidential term allows?

Or the Niger people only started suffering now that an Arab is in power for barely 2yrs, but did not suffer for the previous 20yrs of Hausa and Fulani rule?

For the first time in nairaland, I have seen who really understand the situation in Niger. The Hausas in Nigeria are also in support of the coup because their tribesmen are the plotters. Majority of the Hausas in Nigeria are from Niger republic

You expect the new Niger government to give them a warm welcome or what. They are even lucky they allowed them to come back. ECOWAS is not a strong organization and are not taken serious, that is why same thing continue repeating itself. Who knows the next ECOWAS country military will take over, because from all indication democracy is now a corrupt system in Western Africa, that is why most countries where military took over, the people are always in happy mood as a result of poor management of the public funds thinking the military will manage it better.

Africa has exploited democracy. The level of corruption in the system is just too much.

Military rule is not the solution either, a brief look at history will tell us that.

A black man with such power is dangerous.

I believe the solution is to modify our (Africa) democracy by decentralizing it.
There should be nothing like federal government. A working alternative should be implemented. The constitution will need a total review.

Nigeriens are dead serious on what they are doing.

No atom.of religious sentiments that can deter them.

Politics is a serious business and the Nigeriens are feed up with the "criminalise* democracy and want the benevolent military.

Now I just noticed what is going on there. It's all about Hausa, Fulani against the Arab!

Oga forget that nonsense this fellow is talking it is not about that. These guys want to spin another propaganda to give justification as to why Nigeria should enter. If truly ti was about Hausa against Arabs. Fulani too are on 9% of Niger's population and they are a minority as well. If truly ti was a tribal issue how come everyone in Niger is supporting the coup outrightly? This is not Nigeria where people can spin endSars through tribal lens.

What is your prejudice against voting igbos and please do not mention IPOB , because Buhari supported Boko Haram with the famous statement an attack on BH is an attack on the north. Nigeria has had a fair share of SW and Northern leaders has Nigeria been better, you are presently suffering it is not like you buy fuel at 20naira per liter because you are not Igbo or South south. The military junters that overthrow him were appointees of the immediate past government who spent two term of 10 years in office and was going for third term.

An IIGB0 man is trully not good enough to be president of Nigeria and that is just the hard fact

Oga give us a cogent reason? Nigeria after 67 has had a fair share of Northern and Sout west leaders as president, how has Nigeria fared, ate we better off. The issue is that with an Igbo man you will have to work to justify wealth and that is what most of you fear because you only depend of government handouts that is why Tinubu can say palliative and you guys would be hustling for it like chickens fighting to take little crumbs on dhe floor.

The different is that IGBOS are not good in politics from way back historical..

They have always been in an opposition party.

Democracy is by vote, and not selection.

They Don't build bridge but collapse existing ones out of bitterness, and inferiority...

They forget minority needs majority to accomplish anything in politics.

You are still doing same mistakes if not you won't be asking this question rather you start making your people understand the WORD democracy.

The Malam Buhari that built them a railway track and also gave them billions of naira worth of security vehicles, he should also be sent to them. The mumu trader will lose again and again.
How did Azikiwe became a ceremonial president, was he rigged out too?.
How did Alex Ekwueme lost out of the PDP presidential primary in 1999, was he rigged out too?.
How did Igbos lost out of the PDP presidential primary in the 2023 election, was it rigging too?.
Okay why did your candidate Peter Obi fled PDP, even before the primary?.
You guys needs the rest of Nigeria to become president, unfortunately you guys have never seen other Nigerians as anything other than your subjects, who must dance to your tunes.
People will always say no to being stepped on, your candidate knows he lost that election, the court will soon announce the judgement.
Your eye go clear.

You just showed how fantastically daft you are. In Azikiwe's case the British wanted an alliance with the NPC in the north and any party in the South. While Awo and Zil were discussing alliance in Asaba the same AG sent Akintola to get an alliance with Sardauna, when Sardauna informed Zik, Zik felt betrayed and chose to enter an alliance with NPC. The Sam British government in their diplomatic cables stated that they would prefer an NPC/NCNC coalition.
On the issue of Alex Ekwueme there was PDP primaries and every region voted so it was never his fault or a case of rigging. Try and be smart when you want to argue so that you don't show foolishness. This is an issue ij another country, but in your stupidity you want to spin it on a tribal lens, bit let me remind you, if Tinubu makes that error an attacks Niger, he should know the northern aristocracy will never forgive him and will silent ensure that his regime becomes more isolated than ever.
