I can see the popular golden Femi Johnson's building that always adorn the Ibadan city's landscape along side the Cocoa House @ dusk. Radio Nigeria @ Oba Adebimpe Road seems to be the building adjacent.

I know! The main building on display is Kingway's store back then if I am not mistaken. I was simply emphasising that the Femi Johnson's house and Cocoa House are the most prominent skyscrapers always adorning the Ibadan landscape @ even.

Ibadan has no sea-shore...else would have completely increased in wealth and development.
maticar:

Eyaaa

Yet you lots accuse SE as being landlocked.

Development is not by sea shore

How can you even reason like this?
How old are you?
I'm from Niger- Delta FYI....moreso asking about my age shows how old you are.

Wittyness

I've seen that pic before.....it was taken in the 60s and not 70s. Notice how the streets are clean, with sidewalks and no open gutters? There's a sense of sanity and order pervading the entire pic? Shows how Nigeria has retrogressed from the 60s to date.

Looks better 40 years ago. It means that place is not progressing.

You can see it from the decay in infrastructure and serenity

Ibadan is as big as Anambra state, Apart from Onitsha and some few places in Anambra how many places have any sign of development in Anambra ?

Ibadan as a city is bigger than Lagos state not every part of Lagos is developed, so it is also understandable that Ibadan have some local areas, you guys would even bash Lagos state your bitterness for Ibadan is expected.

Yoruba people are now putting the old parts of Ibadan to good use.

Check all the recent Yoruba movies on Netflix most of them were shots at these ancient part of Ibadan to showcase Yoruba culture and history and it is paying off.

The second pictures have more buildings and the roads are still good but not many people can use their eyes very well.

Igbo only see coloured roof and the paint of a house as a sign of development.

Ibadan is still more developed than any of your hole in the East, the registered businesses in Ibadan alone is more than 3 south east states.
