Watching how things unfold in the case of Niger republic and ECOWAS gives a real time picture of what threw Nigeria into civil war.

So the civil war in Nigeria was not as a result of the failed coup but the decisions of the leaders to protect their various interests.

If we can recall, after the coup, there was chaos in the north and some parts of south west. The killing and maiming was not limited to only igbos but to everyone from both south south and southeast East. If you're ijaw, ikwere, isoko, urhobo, and any part of south south and south west you're automatically Igbo and will be killed on sight.
It's just pure hatred for southerners.

This genocidal move by the northerners made all southerners return. They ran with their families and abandoning their businesses, assets and property.

This huge exodus of southerners back to their homelands became a huge problem for their individual government councils.
There's huge unemployment, poverty, the health systems were overwhelmed and food was on low supplies and money became scarce.

What would have quickly resolved this was the quick intervention of the Western powers to get the power brokers in the north and centre to deescalate tensions in their individual regions so people can return back to their lives since they have virtually overthrown the system by another coup and dealt genocide on innocent citizens cohabiting with them.

As weeks turned to months and time keep progressing MG Ojukwu has to draw the attention of the center to the plight of the people now struggling to blend in into their new reality of lack and hopelessness.

He wanted an increase in revenue as south as at that time till date generates the highest revenues to the center. So his demands was simple, if your state constituents or people wouldn't allow our people back, because of what so few ambitious idiots in the army did, then let us have a bigger allocating to help our people settle in. They're NIGERIANS for Christ sake! It's not the civilians that told nzeogu to strike with his comrades and kill politicians.

The options OJUKWU presented was, to get an increase in the region's allocation or allow the region use its resource to build structures that can comfortably sustain everyone that is within it. This was the "Abure accord "

Strangely the westerners, Britain, realized that this will affect their theft of natural resources and solid minerals at the backyards of the southern region if they should allow southern Nigeria control its resources by itself.

Then, not one northerner bothers what southerners will contribute. Infact their resentment was so crude that they don't even want to share a country with the south.
They were okay if the entire southern region known as the Biafran region part ways with them. They believe southerners are too complex and advanced for them to share a country with as they will be the ones ruling them in all nations affairs. So they wanted their own freedom.

But when the Britain saw that Gowon have clearly reflected the mind of his kinsmen thus signing the Abure accord they have to intervene.

It was in convincing Gowon to go against his own words on paper and signed that the old Biafran country emerged.

Please note, the history of colonialism and invasion of southern Nigeria by colonial masters was a very difficult feat. The old southern dwellers up to Benin kingdom was a formidable settlement. They're highly organized and civilized. So they wouldn't want to give any opportunity to the south to control their resources.

Also Nigeria keeps sending a huge chunk of its natural resources and earnings to the queen.

So I guess you should know what will be their next line of response.

Lay a siege on Biafra, smoke them out, divide them, and break their spirit.

They provided Nigerian troops with ammunitions, funds and tactical Intel's. Biafra was fighting a battle it could never have won.

Even if Biafran troops succeeded to kill all the soldiers in the Nigerian army, Britain will procure mercenaries from Niger, Chad and any other willing militant group.

It was either Biafra stops existing or the entire Nigeria siezes to exist which will be better for them when no one is left to resist them from stealing want they need.

So this is what ojukwu considered. No matter what Biafra can never win. The real enemies are from beyond. Now in order for the north to satisfy their ego as a people that deserves the respect of all, they in return for being giving weapons to kill their fellow citizens pledged to seed more Nigerian resources to external powers which is part of our problem today.

Now devil is in Tinubu's ears right now. They have promised him his own penis that is even still intact under his custody for him to invade Niger so they will give him his prick back.

The same devil that played one northern leader (Gowon) to lay a siege on southern Nigeria is now using another leader (tinubu) to lay a siege on northerners. Maybe it's karma and I don't think tinubu will resist. The devil must get what it wants. It has used the north to its satisfaction, it's time to dump or destroy the evidence.
