🚨 CHELSEA ! are really trying to hijack the Roméo Lavia deal tonight from Liverpool. It's complex, let's see. 👀 [@sachatavolieri] Chelsea wants a midfielder before Liverpool game ,with the way they're moving. |

midfield about to set for decades 😤 |

Lavia AND Caicedo?? Damn. Sweeten the pot to one of Brighton or Southampton, offer Ugochukwu on loan. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Unlimited22: 11:48pm On Aug 09, 2023 |
nateevs:We bought Ugochukwu 😉 Anyway we just bid for Lavia and we're getting links that Caicedo is really close now. |

What would be more insane is a triumvirate of Enzo, Caicedo and Lavia. Gimme the league already. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by nateevs(m): 12:21am On Aug 10, 2023 |
Griffon:I cannot believe we spent the whole window just to get back here. Once the Ugarte deal fell through, a lot of us said go get Lavia and Caicedo. It was a no brainer. The problem is those are two players who would potentially walk into the first team but have never played together with Enzo. And the first game is already upon us. It's just taken too long. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Unlimited22: 12:49am On Aug 10, 2023 |
nateevs:I'm pretty sure the only reason we're in for both is the injury to Nkunku which may force à tweak in formation or tactics. Signing both, with the performances of Andrey and Emeka in preseason, would've caused a problem in a 4231. Caicedo alone would've sufficed. But it is what it is. |

Unlimited22:but a three man midfield solves that Enzo-Lavia-Caicedo with Santos and Chukwuemeka (Gallagher if he stays) as subs but Poch can still stick to 4231 with 4 DMs Enzo Caicedo Lavia and Santos, Chukwuemeka to play 10, with Gallagher or Olise |

Now that #Chelsea have stepped back from Dusan Vlahovic, Elye Wahi could come in as a replacement for the injured Christopher Nkunku. (@Gazzetta_it) 👀 |

nateevs:It has really dragged on needlessly. But what I’m more concerned with at the moment is having those positions addressed ahead of the season and not just about the Liverpool game. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by nateevs(m): 1:58am On Aug 10, 2023 |
Unlimited22:I don't doubt that the injury to Nkunku changed approach in the market. But it was always a risk going into the season with Caicedo alone. As we can see with Nkunku, new position signing doesn't mean immune from injury. We could have had Nkunku fit and Caicedo suffers an injury that keeps him out for four months. That would have meant relying on Santos for the rest of the season. We always needed robust cover for that position but I cannot believe it is the position we are covering last. |

OVA200:Dullards will make shit up, attribute it to someone else, rebut the argument that they themselves made and then pat themselves in the back. The goals that can be term inconsequential are consolation goals in knockout matches.Termed* The goals that can be termed . . . In league football their is no inconsequential goal because even if you lose 5-2 the two goals you scored will reduce your goal deficit and we've seen team winning the league with goal difference.1) There* not their* 2)Only fools will bring league football when FINALS are being discussed. France vs Argentina- FINAL. Arsenal vs City- similar to a FINAL. League football =/= (this means is not equal to) FINAL. Going by his stupid logic then a 3-0 win for a team have two inconsequential goals because the last two goals did nothing to change the outcome of the game.Just type 'going by all the things OVA200 has been typing then a 3-0 win for . . .' Why will additional goals from the team winning (i.e meeting their objective) "change the outcome" of the game? Since when did 'meeting objectives' become "changing outcome"? I'm seriously asking. I am fascinated by extremely stupid people and whenever I come across one, I like to understand how they think so differently from the rest of humanity. Do people always tell you how "special" you are? Were you in your late 20s or early 30s when you finally got promoted to primary 1? |

Jodera:Nobody said this. Trossard's goal was consequential because it helped A.K.A was instrumental, significant etc to Arsenal meeting her objective in the game which was to WIN (not participate in the penalties). Inconsequential = did not help meet objective Consequential = helped meet (i.e was important to) objective Don't be happy when people like OVA200 or some Chelsea fans are supporting you. If anything, you should be depressed. They are usually low IQ warehouse janitors and smellos. I said "some". Sodeeq clearly is fighting hard to be named amongst them. His wish has been granted. ![]() |

What if Liverpool did actually make a mysterious bid for Caicedo of more than 80m, and Chelsea are just getting back at them by bidding for Lavia. Because can't believe we went from injured injury prone spiderman looking Tyler Adams (he's good when fit, Spiderman of DMs 🤭) to Lavia 😍 (can't be both right, plus Caicedo won't that be £150m+ 😲) |

BlueAngel444:Possibly Chelsea becoming more ambitious because Caicedo x Lavia makes more attacking sense than Caicedo x Adams. |

caicedo na good player. but i don't see all the hype of caicedo, he has only one season at Brighton, so no consistency yet. if we buy caicedo or lavia or even both, Dem no guarantee starts, ugochukwu go still bench Dem. ugochukwu has played for at least three years at french ligue1 Rennes consistently with good ratings. according to top ratings site (whoscored.com) he has an average 6.44 rating, strong in aerial duels, tackling, blocking the ball, has no significant weaknesses. (style of play)- he likes to shoot from distance and play short passes. has at least three seasons of experience in a top league and European competition's, Europa league etc. according to stats site (footballtransfers.com) he's the- 6th best future holding midfielder, 11th best future midfielder Ligue1, 14th best future ball winning midfielder in the world. people here saying caicedo and lavia go just come and start together and bench him or we loan him, please post their stats and achievements and prove they are better. you are all forgetting Chelsea works by stats and performance metrics now, no more stupid boehly or nonsense coach just making decisions anyhow again. |

Android17:What did Haaland do for all the minutes that he played? Why leave him there? When he was winning it, it was not friendly match. Now that he has lost it 3 times in a row now, it has turned to friendly. |

That Android17 guy is more of a Manchester City fan than a Chelsea fan. I have never seen someone live in such denial before in my life. How can you love Manchester City that much and yet claim to be a Chelsea fan? |
