Chelsea just signed a decent midfielder albeit injured for £20m if Tyler Adams was fit and finished the season with Leeds not relegating, no way Leeds accept £20m for a player they both last summer £20m. We didnt open any panadora crap. Benfica insisted on Enzo's release clause they didn't even want to sell, same thing Brighton did to Arsenal, because they were in the middle of the season and had UCL games to play. Chelsea signed him without paying his release clause howbeit to pay for a long duration of time.

it may actually not be false, Bayern and Liverpool may have heard of Chelsea's breakthrough and felt a bid lower than £100m was possible so they called Brighton to enquire if £85m to £90m would be accepted maybe with better payment structure.
