Since, trucks carry heavy load it require more tyres in order to increase area of contact and to decrease pressure on the ground

Remember that these trucks carry heavy loads. If they have few tires, the pressure will be much on those few tires and on the ground but with so many tires, the pressure is distributed and thus, less on the ground.
