Brighton isn't completely the winner as some people believe. In order to replace Calceido, they will spend part of the money and no way in hell they are getting someone like him. They will have to deal with stronger Chelsea over two legs of the league and Liverpool will make sure they get smashed for the trolls. They got some points off the two teams last season and they could even relegate if care is not taken.
I know Chelsea over paid for him but Chelsea now has reliable first choice transfer target and onto of that made a big statement that they still dictates terms in transfer market.

Chelsea just have to pay what his club is asking,which is 100 million pounds. the guy is good, and Liverpool wage structure is poor.

He was more or less preparing for medicals when Chelsea upped their bid to 90 Million, but Brighton is gambling greedily on getting a score of a lifetime... They might have agreed to an extra 5 or 10 Million from Stamford Bridge before Liverpool had to come and ruin everything by doing the unthinkable.

Now, Todd Boehly will have to cough up 120 Million or the Midfielder remains at Brighton unhappily for the rest of his contract.
