Ahhhhh....so, I should request for decommissioned pipelines or insist on the steel? Please, how can I tell the difference?
just ask for steel but be ready to renegotiate

Good evening Sir.... It is not about the money, it is about his work...with what I've read, steel is better than galvanized pipe and it's more expensive.. The amount I'm paying (350k...I've paid 200k and will pay the remaining balance after he is done) which I believe will cover for steel but he decided to use a cheaper material...

I didn't want to go with him initially because of the nonsense door he made for me but I had no other choice cos he is closer to the site..

Please do steel.

This decision help you avoid criminal negligence.

Lagos Coleman

1.5mm 15000
2.5mm 2500
4mm 40500

Thank you.

They said 16,500.00 at Gudu but I opted not to buy because I couldn't tell who is selling the correct thing and who is selling the fake thing.

After I confirm that, I will make the purchase.

Thanks again.

truth is there's nothing like a fair negotiation right now. The way the inflation is galloping eh.

That being said, tell him what you can afford to pay and bargain well with him while making sure he understands what you want him to deliver for you

@twinskenny and @topsy2 pelase help me this:
1.5mm wire (red and black) with 1mm green are for lightbulbs, ceiling fans and spotlights

2.5mm wire (red and black) with 1.5mm green are for parlour/room sockets

4mm (all colors) are for electric cooker and water heater.

Nb: All are high grade Nigerian cables.

Any modifications?
I have seen electricians using original 1.5mm for room sockets. Advisable?

Using 1.5mm for socket not really advisable BUT if the number of socket on that circuit is not more than 3 or max is 4nos. Remember most of this sockets are redundant for weeks without using them. Also, make sure no heating appliance is plugged to them . The permissible current for the 1.5mm cable is 23A..

The 1mm is for Traveller (for 2-way switching). Most of the LED light has no earth terminal

Hello fellow enthusiasts,

When discussing various construction trends and innovations, it's fascinating to see how traditional and modern materials merge to redefine spaces. I've always been intrigued by the versatility of glass in contemporary architecture. Beyond the obvious windows and doors, its use has expanded to play pivotal roles in the structural aspects of buildings.

One notable example is the increasing popularity glass roofs of https://glassstructureslimited.com/glass-roofs. They provide a seamless blend between the indoors and the outside environment, maximizing natural light and creating a sense of openness. Not to mention, they add a sleek, modern aesthetic to any structure.

Has anyone here had any experience with integrating such elements in their projects? I'd love to hear about the practical challenges and benefits.

Cheers to continuous innovation in construction!

Please I'm looking for a solution to water ingress in the walls of this property. I don't know the right way of going about correcting this problem. The plaster and paint is flaking off, could this be as a result of low-quality mortar being used? There is also an open flower bed around the building.

The open flower bed is the main culprit.
The soil would retain water close to the building long enough for it to be absorbed by the wall.
Ideally, landscaping should be done in a way that water flows away from the building fast.
