And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.

President of the United States of America, JF Kennedy.

"For in a democracy, every citizen, regardless of his interest in politics, 'hold office'; every one of us is in a position of responsibility; and, in the final analysis, the kind of government we get depends upon how we fulfill those responsibilities. We, the people, are the boss, and we will get the kind of political leadership, be it good or bad, that we demand and deserve".

From the very day an american is born, the country starts working for that person. Its only natural that you return the favour by being a patriotic american citizen. That's why an average american is ready to die for the country.
Stop misinterpreting the words of JF Kennedy
.
Now tell me if Nigeria is working for you?

You are really high on dried cow dung, so why did Obi go to court if not for the tribunal to declare him winner.
Hmmm, an uneducated internet troll. Go back and research from the beginning to the end, all of Obi's prayers at the tribunal and come back make an informed political interaction.
Until then, won't dignify you with any more response until you fully understand why we're discussing.

We are telling you that INEC swapped the actual 3rd place to first, you're still insisting on INEC fraudulent results
Your principal had more than 2 months to prove that the election was rigged as he claimed but couldn't do it.
Rather, he was claiming something else. He was either sleeping in the court room or misplacing his phone.
Court cases nor be beer parlour meeting or discussions, but you people still won't understand.

Taking away the means to fish and giving the people fishes in the name of development is an economy complexity I can't understand. And creating more problems to manage problems also perplexes me. It's probably only an agbadorian that can understand the puzzle.

Baba error and trial method wants to solve a complex equation.

Back then in primary and secondary school, there were steps to take in order to derive the "almighty formula". Some substitution here, some elimination there. You never get to the final formula by error and trial method.

This I have seen
You think leadership is easy. Just try and become the MD of a commercial Bank and see deliverables to be achieved. You have to work round the clock to justify that position. Honestly, it's easy to criticize but when you get there, you'll understand that uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.

Nigeria is complex that is why we need a leader that is fit and capable mentally and who is able to appoint technocrats not elections rigger and ballot paper snatchers as ministers.

Secondly Nigeria has to put a hold on population. 250 million plus is too much. People should stop giving birth like rats.

when there is no resources on ground to accommodate this population
@the bolded...who told you there are no resources on ground to cater for our current population?

Una just dey deceive yourself
whose statistics says we're 200m or 250m?
When was a population census conducted last in the country?
You can educate me brother, if I'm wrong
What metrics was used to arrive at 250m population without head count?
The last time I checked Nigeria was 140m in 2006. That's the fact!
You can argue the population must have increased since then, yes, possibly. But the rate of increment cannot be quantified without head count. It can only be predicted!
they usually use estimates and they arrive at it with the population growth rate over the years

no one told me I know.

In 1960 Britain population was just 54 million or so.. Nigeria also was around same 54 or so million.

now we are over 230 to 250m

while UK is still around 60m

while UK has put resources on ground Nigeria has not.

resources like road, schools, hospitals/ doctors on ground, infrastructure wise

Been quietly laughing at the reaction of most folks so far. Appears that resignation to a point of bitter disappointment is at hand. Just a few months in and Nigerians are generally fed up.

Few could have anticipated that things could have gotten this bad, even in the camp of the hardiest cynics. And one is not talking about the economy alone. Just the totally poor, mediocre level of governance across board as witnessed so far. Particularly in the light of the hype surrounding the man in question.

And this brings me to the bus stop of your post echoing Mrs Tinubu in asking, 'not what government can do for the people, but what the people will do for government..' abi.

But is this not a complete goal post shift. Haba fans and fanatics alike of everything Jagaban, APC et al.

THIS IS NOT WHAT WAS SUNG JUST A FEW SHORT MONTHS AGO. The song and dance moves back then was that, just bring in the man and everything will be added unto us, as it was in Lagos....world without end (no pun intended).

You folks have taken us to the middle of the river and abandoned us saying we should swim the rest of the way.... Kai... grin

The best solution is to let our various institutions do their jobs without interference. We need to stand by the rule of law. Applaud any good decision by the government and speak out against their wrong doings irrespective of who is there.

I agree totally, some of the problems lies also on the masses some of the masses are the ones aiding politicians with their corrupt practises

Most Naigerians are not genuinely against or angry with politicians, they are angry because they are not part of the looting or sharing of loots.

As i ve said to many Naigerians changes should staet from the masses not the politicians and when the masses stop being corrupt the politicians would have no choice but to conform.

Naigerians are not their brother's keeper everyone is scheming to either scam, con or steal from fellow Naigerians. The masses are worst than their politicians if you ask me. That is why the masses are ussually divided in support of a lot of corrupt politicians..

On another thread there is a news that workers are protesting for pay rise but some Naigerians are suggesting they should be sacked and replaced with workers who will work for less money, they should be supporting the workers to get pay rise instead. In Naigeria if anything is not affecting people they don't care who it is affecting as long as it is not them.. they all a bunch of "i am alright Jack" cheesy
