It is a shame that Lagos overtook Ibadan that was by far the most populated as at 1960. However Oyo state should be ahead of Lagos in everything and the lack of collection of IGR is the main impediment or setback. Present Oyo should be like 60 percent or more of Lagos in population and they can make that percentage of Lagos IGR as well if they sit up. They can make more cause Lagos is seriously undercollecting. Oyo is more conducive have more potential is less stressful and etc than Lagos

Lagos is in fact overcollecting and under-reporting, the bulk of revenue ends up in private pocket abi where do you people think Tinubu's stupendous wealth came from? And he is not the only one everyone involved in the process is also eating I e. stealing. Ditto Ogun state

PAYE is the bulk of Lagos revenue but it is paid directly into LIRS and your receipt as a company must be handy but not up to ten percent of what is due is paid by any company. A company where a manager should pay fifty thousand per month will record thirty five thousand per month for fifty workers. That is the situation presently but that pittance is still what forms the bulk of Lagos revenue. Money being stolen by Tinubu is via other channels and not from shorting revenue

You forgot his alpha beta is consultant to the same lirs; paye is per head, your receipt is electronic and personal to you it has nothing to do with your manager. And they are multiple other taxes on both corporate and individual entities apart from paye

PAYE has a formula on excel and a company is supposed to provide a table containing all names of workers to the LIRS then they will pay in bulk and will be issued receipt. The LIRS is supposed to issue each worker a tax clearance via the company management. That is how it works and it is majority of Lagos revenue but not up to ten maybe five percent of what is possible is being collected. Alpha beta as a consultant is probably being paid a percentage but the people going around to monitor the companies paying in are Lagos civil servants working in the LIRS and not alpha beta. If monthly collection is presently twenty billion naira I believe the potential is north of 100 billion naira. If all employers from shop to shop are captured and companies owing 500k that pay only 30k are also monitored.. You see my point?. Alpha beta is definitely being paid but they are not the ones doing the work. I know people who used to hound me about when I was COO of a group of company in Lekki Lagos
