Unknown armed gunmen kill Commander of Benue State Livestock Guards, along with three of his colleagues.

It was gathered that the victims were tragically killed in separate attacks in Ukum Local Government Area of the state.

Jarule Likita, the Commander was fatally shot multiple times in the chest at Tine-Nune settlement around 8pm today, August 21.

According to eyewitnesses, Likita was followed by the assailants, who opened fire on him, prompting others in the area to flee.

The Disheartening incident comes after three other members of the Guards were also murdered by armed men a few weeks prior.

Reacting to the incident, the State Commander of the Guards, Mr. Linus Zaki, expressed his concern over the ongoing attacks and the challenges posed by these unidentified gunmen.

The incident was also confirmed by the Benue State police spokesperson, Superintendent Catherine Anene.

She stated that she had not yet received official reports on the incidents.

Fulani herdsmen are killing people in their lands and you are asking what the people are fighting for, didn't you read the news, they are livestock guards who are supposed to monitor herdsmen activities, they said Tinubu will stop Fulani herdsmen from killing people and this is still happening..

This was why I disliked Jonathan, he was scared of stepping on toes and it ruined his government and still removed him from office, Buhari had boldness to step o toes but the biggest problem with Buhari was wrong priorities, wrong decisions, very low accountability, If I don't see a leader that is ready to step on toes in Nigeria I will never support him, reason why I still rate Abacha highly than most of the leaders we have had since 1999, for me it is just a matter of accountability, all these are happening and nobody is getting sacked or arrested, it is just business as usual.....
