The age long tradition of Igbo being one of the best educated in the country, yet leaving the South East zone for other zones like the South South, South West, North, Overseas etc must be mitigated. South East is majorly dominated by large and short scale trade. It has an advantage in the sense that everyone gets to become boss and less dependent on the government. Onitsha and Aba in particular have a huge number of business men, ndi boyii from the various villages who come to the town to fight for their future. All’s cool, but when it becomes the ONLY major face of the cities, it becomes a problem in the sense that the formal sectors suffer. Learned folks from the South East are trooping out of the zone in numbers everyday because they can’t be absorbed properly. Don’t expect them to start dragging spaces with those into trading. The disadvantage to this is numerous. Those folks who came from the village have little/no respect for the environment. They take pissing in the gutters as normal, dropping refuse into gutters as an everyday stuff, that’s why a WHO 2016 report rated Onitsha the dirtiest city in 2016, and Aba 6th. We might be in 2023, but has much changed? Balancing the city with learned and semi learned folks would have helped balance the city up, but lack of white collar jobs chase learned folks away. Cities like PH, Enugu, Abj, Lagos have a better environmental rating and a balanced system of life because of a huge presence of learned folks who are into many diverse sectors. The South Eastern leaders must be up and doing towards making the South East an Industrial hub of the country/continent. God blessed Enugu with huge metric tonnes of iron ore, oil and gas, Anambra with oil and gas, trading. Imo state with the highest gas reserve in Africa as a whole, Ebonyi with many minerals and fertile lands, Abia with Oil and Gas, trade too. In fact, God blessed all Igbo with entrepreneurship spirit. Why then must we keep on migrating to other regions for survival? If the constant insults we receive from other zones as being wanderers and beggars don’t get to you, it gets to me! Our forefathers survived the civil war, they had to develop a communal spirit in other to help each others, hence their dependence on China for most goods. Sincerely, we feed from the Chinese the most in Africa. The good thing is that this is 2023, times have changed. It’s time for us to go to the Chinese with a different mindset- Technology transfer. Why buy from them when we can learn the technology from them and put them into production here. After all, the Chinese got the same technology transfer from the West! All thanks to the BRICS convention going on and the AFCTA, this is our chance to emerge as a regional power bloc, if we make the best use of it. The Chinese stood by the side after the 2nd world war and saw that the world needed a global production house. They rose up-to the occasion and expanded exponentially between 40-50 years. Dear Igbo, this is our chance to make the major leap! All thanks to the trading pathway we’ve been able to create throughout Africa, the major goal is to be the creators of the various goods, while the traders move it to the various areas of Africa as a whole. Just as the Chinese deliberately made the whole world their target base, making the whole of Africa our target base shouldn’t be an over statement. It is achievable! We have also been able to intermingle with the Chinese, hence the reason why most African Chinese marriages is between Igbo and Chinese people. A video even surfaced before of their kids learning Igbo in the classroom. Time to get the best of the Asians is now! Everything online shouldn’t be banters and tribal displays. As we are strategizing now, I believe the South Southerners, Yoruba and Hausa are also strategizing, which is the goal. Competition in uplifting, and not in downgrading. God bless all African youths God bless us all God bless Africa ❤️ No insults please if you don’t have anything meaningful to contribute

Just focus on getting Igbo land more industrialised Nothing wrong with the 'wanderers' tag,it's mostly parroted by weaker and envious ppl. The Chinese are in every remote village and city all over world. It's not because they're lacking anything in their homeland. |

Op first of all this is not the right platform to publicize this. We have some eastern and Igbo own sites and pages. Better replicate something like nairaland and bring many Igbos together for proper enlightenment. However, I will commend your advice. |

FrankDbadGuy:This sort of advice you give when Igbo land becomes an independent country, not while they are part of the failed state of Nigeria where nothing works Asari Dokubo once said in front of the press that Onitsha is a dirty city. They forgot to tell him that his entire Ijaw land has no city, to even talk about the one that is dirty |
