Why You Just Can't Help But Love The Igbos Of Nigeria by LocalStandard1(m): 8:35pm On Sep 02, 2023 |
I was going through some videos on YouTube about the Nigerien citizens mobilizing about a million of themselves and matched and held a curfew at the gate of the French military base. They said if France doesn't evacuate their country they will come next time in their three millions. Something Hit Me! I realized that the Igbos have a pattern, maybe it's cause they themselves have experienced it for as long as we can remember or cause they have a stronger spirit but one thing is clear. The Igbos have been consistent in their strong stance against injustice, oppression, subjugation and stiffling of minorities, the weak and the oppressed. Now I know cause I remember in Kaduna State at the very heat of the Genocide and massacre of the South Kaduna people it was the Igbos first and the Igbos together with our own voices that brought attention to the abysmal bloodletting. When all others sided with the Fulani terrorists and even lent their voices to them and called the extended State sponsored GENOCIDE a communal, Farmer/herders crisis, when most even go as far as blaming the victims in Southern Kaduna and the Middle Belt it was only the Igbos outside these regions that lent their even already exhausted voices, when even they were being massacred by the State government in Rivers State and the Nigerian military in the South East. You see, I have followed many Igbo online platforms at the heat of Tinubu's call for But alas it the voices of the Igbos in Nigeria that stopped what would have been a rather senseless war with an innocent neighboring nation that's only simply looking for its path and footing for its teeming young population. But yes, me really do salute the Igbos for their humanity, foresight and even empathy. 20 Likes 5 Shares

Wainey: It has been more than half a century, more than half a century of marginalization, disenfranchisement and injustice against the South East. But still the region is far better than anywhere and more developed than most. I think I'll take Enugu over Ekiti. 22 Likes 5 Shares |

LocalStandard1:And before this half a century, you are aware that the igbos are the ones marginalizing others abi? Also do not compare Ekiti to Enugu, you should compare Ekiti to Abia Compare Anambra to Lagos, then compare Ogun to Enugu or Imo. Compare the best with the best and the worst with the worst 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Igbos have a culture that abhors injustice irrespective of who is the oppressed and who is the oppressor. I still remember how Igbos spoke about the injustice against the Niger Deltans. Spoke about the injustice against the Southern Kaduna. Spoke about injustice against Benue indegenes And even the injustice against Isese festival in ILORIN. Igbos do not have a culture that supports subjugation and oppression. Reason why they say that they are individualistic. Reason why they don't lie down to greet. Igbos will fight for you if you get maltreated in Enugu simply because you are a Yoruba. They believe in equal rights and justice. They side with truth and justice. The west are Christians. Niger Republic is Muslim. But Igbos support Niger because they see what is going on as injustice. Igbos spoke against the killing of Ghadaffi even though he is a Muslim. Igbos are inherently people that are straight forward reason they succeed easily in business. A cunning man will hardly be trusted. It takes being straight forward to go to every nook and cranies to do business. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

Many Nigerians across all walks of life spoke out against the genocide in Kaduna. The only people who openly supported via silly excuses or misnaming the situation were agbado ídí0ts. The war with Niger has only been delayed not stopped 1 Like |

Christistruth03: Great injustice and the HEIGHT of subjugation and oppression. Osu caste system unjustly labeled, subjugated, ostracized and victimized their fellow Ibos, but we’re supposed to believe their self-consolatory, revisionist hogwash because they’re grieving Obi’s loss. Same people that swallow drugs and travel half way across the world, shit it out and gather money to use to oppress in the village in December, don’t love oppression…same people that told Jonathan to ignore the Yoruba’s when they complained of marginalization, suddenly hate oppression. The hypocrisy and dishonesty is loud. They only ‘hate oppression’ when they’re not the ones oppressing. 28 Likes 2 Shares |
