With the vibe that this new NNPP guy is giving, I doubt strongly if he would last a second term I don't know if it's just me but the only project I have heard this guy construct was that fountain built in place of that roundabout that was demolished Kano governors usually try to outperform one another in infrastructural development so this bros had better buckle up Kano voters are very unforgiving when it comes to an underperforming governor. Well , let's see how it goes though |

Why demolishing the bridge or is the bridge not built in the appropriate place ![]() Pls this new regime should stop wasting tax payers money on things that has already been put in place and face what ever that needed to be done , what nonsense this new administration in Kano is doing or rather they don't have manifesto to work with let them vacate and allow a competent ones to stir the boat Abi.. One thing I observe with peaceful protest in the north authority dare not to arrest or shoot peaceful protesters but you see places in the South hmm try it you will be arrested or even get shot at |

Sometimes I wonder what type of democracy we are practising in Nigeria. An autocratic and vendetta democracy. Not different from the military rule. The Democratic government has no regards for the rule of laws. It is a shame! |

The bridge connects to the residence of the state’s deputy governor, Aminu Abdulsalam, which made some of the government officials and members of his party (New Nigeria People Party) in the town feel offended over the speedy construction of the bridge, by Mr Jibrin, who is member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).” Haha. Nawa o. Something must be wrong with these NNPP guys.. It’s better Kwankwaso stay away from them. Not as if they have anything special to offer him. |

Somebody did a job to aid the masses to make life easy,Dem say he did not obtain permit, they even mentioned bureaucracy without shame. Why do people in position of power prefer the masses to suffer? We are talking of social amenities,so if I want to tar a road in my community to make life easier or better for members of the community I need to obtain approval so that they can supervise the job and steal the money. |

Oga leave revenge and focus on building on what you met on ground! Ihedioha did same and didn’t last a yr because he was blind to all else but his perceived enemies. This wan that is bulldozing both physical & non physical bridges by suspending his GF and fighting his predecessor at the same time, will soon realize that wisemen build bridges but fools tear them down! ![]() |

The situation in Kano involving the planned demolition of a bridge constructed by the 'opposition' is undoubtedly a complex and sensitive matter. Here are some thoughts: 1. **Infrastructure vs. Politics**: It's concerning when essential infrastructure becomes entangled in political disputes. The focus should always be on the bridge's safety and functionality, regardless of who constructed it. 2. **Community Impact**: The protest by Kano residents highlights the potential negative impact on their daily lives. Access to the bridge likely affects their daily commutes, businesses, and overall well-being. 3. **Transparency Needed**: Transparency in decision-making is key. The reasons behind the demolition plan should be made clear to the public to alleviate concerns and build trust. 4. **Independent Assessment**: It might be beneficial to have an independent assessment of the bridge's condition to determine whether demolition is necessary or if repairs and maintenance can suffice. 5. **Public Engagement**: Engaging with the affected residents and seeking their input can provide valuable insights and potentially lead to more acceptable solutions. 6. **Legal Considerations**: All actions taken regarding the bridge should be in compliance with local laws and regulations to ensure a fair and just process. 7. **Long-term Planning**: This situation underscores the importance of long-term infrastructure planning that prioritizes the needs of the community over political considerations. 8. **Conflict Resolution**: If political differences are fueling this issue, finding a peaceful resolution through dialogue and compromise should be explored to prevent further disruption and hardship for the residents. In essence, the welfare of Kano residents and the safety of the bridge should be at the forefront of any decision-making process, irrespective of political affiliations. |
