Not true. We've been playing 433 with Colwill at LB and Chilwell at LW since game week one.

Whatever formation it's we're playing,. there's no need to have five defenders on the pitch.

In build up, Lavia screens, Enzo dictates, Caicedo roams, Palmer roams into the centre to create triangles with Caicedo and Jackson, James or Gusto hugs the right flank, Sterling hugs the left, Maatsen inverts (I'm using him because Chilwell is a dunce who can't invert as a FB to save his life)
And both Silva and Colwill have exceptional long range passing, an extra weapon, and this pattern can be switched around to have, say, Maatsen hug the flank, James inverting, Palmer or Noni staying wide, Sterling coming central etc etc.

Out of possession Caicedo drops (he's got the legs to screen too along with Lavia), Palmer goes wide to his FB as does Sterling, Jackson and Enzo (because he can't mark) trigger the press, the defenders drop.



And I'd really love to see Dorde Petrovic in goal. Let's compare and contrast because so far Sanchez has been uninspiring.

Mudryk and Noni need time but they have the talent. Deivid Washington too.
Armando Broja is more of a box striker, and Conor Gallagher can roam very well too as a sub for Caicedo. Ugochukwu subs for Lavia as a screen/6. Disaster and Brodashile as sub CBs, and any day you play Chilwell, just know that the RB will be the one inverting all game.

Guyman is busy playing CB at LB and playing the least technical LB we have as a winger.

Full disclosure: I still have full faith in our gaffer to do the job. And we have the tools. I also know it will take time.


He should just not be making the same mistakes. This exact game was what we played against West Ham.

He has two weeks, and the return of Lavia and maybe James. Let him show us his stuff.

The sad thing is Havertz will still start in this current Chrlsea team.
