What is the value of Pi (π)?
I have asked a lot of students around me this question, and they all seem to be clueless.

How it began
It all started when I was teaching some kids Javascript and I wanted to use an example that is close to what they are used to in the school. I first asked them to give me the formula for calculating the Area of a square, but to my surprise, none of them could answer it. I proceeded to drill them before finally giving them the answer.

I then asked for the value of Pi (π), and I was surprised none of them could answer it, including the one that recently sat for the SSCE exam.

Can you test the kids in your area to see if education value has not been destroyed by these mushroom Private schools?

About two years ago I started asking, some SSCE graduates a more harder question: The 1st Circle Theorem, till date no student has been able to answer me correctly, the 1 out of 100 that even remember the Circle Theorem mixed it up.

I guess that depends a lot on the exposure of your audience. As a Math teacher, my learners in upper Basic classes and beyond are able to decipher the value of Pi. Even the area of plane shapes like rectangles is not lost on freshmen in secondary school.
