Can someone please help me with how to increase my Adsense earnings on YouTube. I need to make good money with it. The amount that I see is quite discouraging

By what i saw, you need to do more. IMHO, you can't get engagements because your channel is more of
* instant trending news* which many people have alternative to, like radios, newspapers, news portals, and so on and it dies within short period of time. Its not evergreen.
You have been in the game for many years according to what i see. You would have made crazy money assuming you have been doing purely cashcow videos, and purely faceless channel.

Now compare it to topic like "10 most embarrassing moments for ronaldo as he refuses to score in front of goals", or something like " what messi did infront of....(keeper, defender, rivals) ..... that makes ronaldo fan go gaga", 3 things ronaldo told messi that looks offensive ....or makes messi fans .......-just sampling all these on my head . . manipulate the script and the video to get up to 10 mins. You create crazy controvasial topics and pursue it based on emotions and comments. let them argue themselves out in the comment section, their wahala. . As the engagements are high so will be retention.

This would have given you millions of views in months with lots of natural engagements. And do more of similar contents. Next 5 years from now, there will still be tractions on those videos heavily and you still make money of them. Those are evergreen contents.

*bend rules: the aim of youtube is money money money. Treat it as business. There is a channel that i cant remember now until i search my subscription later, if you are interested, you can remind me here, all what they do is talk about business of sports, you can learn from them. * make long form engaging contents on faceless while you may talk for background or use multiple sport sound effects related to sport. Your videos are too short, that means your retention will be very poor since its not engaging enough, so you likely get shadowbanned.

* make videos that if you if you as a a usa or european resident, you will watch, not as a nigeria. Thats where many nigerian youtubers get it wrong.

*Most importantly, copy small channel with heavy viral content tendency.
How to: use youtube search and filter: go and type something like football actions or anything else, then consider filter like views, last 3 months, channels, all in incognito... Look at small channel in the search results: check many channels that has less than 30k sub and just started less than 1 year ago, or around that but , many of their videos are above 100k views per 1, progressive viral contents and probably has less than 40 videos. They must be there. Check their monetization status and copy them. You will see something special. Notice the type of videos they are doing and blend your rules to copy them and do similar contents. Those are the type of channels that youtube love to promote secretly and viral easily. Thats one of the hidden secrets of yt success.
Above all, keep moving .

Well, copyrights are part of yt success. You know how to manipulate it, you are good to go. Thats why i said use the last point i suggested to know what small channels are doing right , check their monetization status, if its on, then do similar thing as them. And edit your own different.
