Bank of Industry is a wicked bank that has destroyed the lives of youths whose original university and NYSC certificates are withheld by the bank for accessing YES-P loan since 2016. These YES-P loan beneficiaries are graduates who have chosen to be an entrepreneur so as to create jobs and start a business. Is there a crime in trying to contribute to Nigerian economy?

Unfortunately, it is not all businesses started that will succeed due to the harsh business climate and unforseen circumstances in Nigeria. Instead of BOI to be compassionate and forgive the loans of beneficiaries whose businesses failed and give them back their original certificates. So that they can have their lives back and look for a job than to be idle. BOI has refused to show mercy.

Most YES-P beneficiaries are regretting ever accessing the BOI loan which was less than 4 million naira. Their certificates has been withheld since 2016 till date. They are frustrated and their businesses has failed, no certificates for them to look for a job or access other government empowerment programme like NPOWER etc

Is the federal government going to allow the life of youths waste away just like that by BOI? Nigerian senate needs to look into the issue. This is a lesson to everyone. Avoid BOI youth empowerment programme like GEF and YES-P. It will ruin your life. They will permanently seize your certificates and give you small loan for your business. It's not worth it.

Most have intention to pay back when they applied. But when the startup business failed and didn't succeed, how did you expect them to get money?

When I was trying to mobilise yesp participants nationally to query the guarantee for the loan, the snakes among us were rushing to submit their credentials for paltry sum.

You all deserve to permanently lose your certificates.

BOI ruined the lives of Yes-p beneficiaries. Without their credentials, they can't further their education to masters degree, can't apply for post graduate scholarships, can't access gov't empowerment like Npower, can't look for white collar jobs as their businesses has collapsed.

They are wretched, poor and frustrated as a graduate. And the bank still don't care and can't forgive the bad loans and show mercy to give them back their credentials. Bank of Industry is a very wicked bank.

Why can't BOI forgive the bad loans and write it off? Why will they hold their certificates since 2016 for less than 4 million naira loan? That's wickedness. We all know it's not all startups that will succeed.
