What a big loss to the entire world of Accounting. We still celebrated his 104th birthday last month or so on all ICAN social media platforms. So sad his beautiful and eventful life has come to an end. He pioneered the professionalization of the Accounting profession in Africa by becoming the first African to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in 1949. All of us in the Accounting profession will really miss him.

Just have to go look up for the picture of his last birthday celebration.

When I was growing up, any time accounting is mentioned what came to mind was Akintola Williams. His name was like synonym of accounting.
