2tpick:Good morning 🌞 Cutting cost of governance is a good idea, but to what extend?? If you cut cost of governance and you add that workload to someone else will it not slow down productivity?? I just trying to be logical. Nigeria is a big country and it's not what it take to run Ghana that you'll need to run Nigeria. On building strong institutions I agree with you. But has the president not been tilting that direction? I believe time will be fair to us. He wasn't invited to India, he went there and got us $14b then to uae to get another $10b and then Volkswagen may just be on their way back to Nigeria. This will mean that jobs will be available for us the youth. Since the man said we were being shortchanged by power holdings, I now let my phone get to 5% before charging because electricity is almost constant. Now he wants us to report where there's power outages. Power, road and security is all we need to make businesses work and he's actively working on that. Now tax will be reduce by over 80%. This are good changes |

2tpick:Peter Obi also made a lot of noise about unemployment, but he left out the fact that cutting cost of governance means mass layoff and retrenchment and what to do with the retrenched workers. Cutting cost of governance rhetorics sounds good, but are you okay with the consequences ? |

Vehicle manufacturing in Nigeria? No, because in Nigeria it is always Tokunbo Tokunbo Tokunbo, so no Vehicle manufacturing company in Nigeria will have a good day. Remember when Obasanjo said all government officials and National Assembly members say they should be using Nigeria 🇳🇬 manufactured Peugeot cars for official use in the country, they say NO! and that they preferred SHAGARI TYPE of Iported Mercedes Benz which led 😏 to the end of Kaduna Peugeot car manufacturing industry. In Nigeria "" You get everything imported from fly covered meat to Television "" B B C radio during the Muritala imported cow meats "" __ ẸRAN MURITALA _ |

Lexiskillz09:Failed lies , no manufacturing company will enter a country that is economically unstable, common electricity that Cameroon can boast of , Nigeria don't have it . |

For me its not just about wooing them back. How about paying Nigerians a livable wage that can enable them to buy one. What's the point of Volks coming back to Nigeria if no one can afford to buy their vehicles? I saw a Toyota Nigeria price list recently and Camry 2.4l was about N47mln!!! |

They won't come until the economy and business environment is fixed. There is no money to buy their brandnew cars now. There is no magic u can do. |

plaindealer:Well, no one can make an omelette without breaking an egg!! We all know that Nigeria's civil service is over bloated. As you saw from the recent scandal on employment, we have been running employment scams for years. |

| Re: Tinubu Woos Volkswagen, Other Manufacturers Back To Nigeria by plaindealer: 8:23am On Sep 13, 2023 |
COMPAQ:Yes, our civil service is indeed over-bloated and something must be done, starting with ghost workers, but you cannot get rid of workers without thinking about unemployment and what to do with the workers that you sent home. We must be realistic and stop being simplistic, everything must be on the table, including cutting costs and looking out for the workers we want to cut. |

Tinubu is just doing window shopping, so that Nigerians would not say he didn't invite foreign investors. Why didn't Tinubu make sure GSK didn't leave? These our leaders are comedians, you don't think volkswagen will call GSK to ask what's up?? APC and their wash-wash |
