I have a pawpaw tree which has been flowering but shows no sign of fruiting so far.

Can it bear fruits?

I want ask if I should hold on and keep observing it.

Papaya plants are dioecious, that means they have separate sexes. Plant another seed and tend to it until it produces single large flowers not several ones like this one on stalks. Though you can leave this one to fertilize the upcoming female

You don't need to uproot it, you might need it to fertilize female trees.
Female pawpaw trees doesn't produce so much flowers like this, theirs is one single big flower that becomes fruit
