Yes I cook with pure water every weekend. It happened that the apartment I rent we have storex and we do pump water almost every time the water has finished.

My Landlord his living in the same building with me with the family of (7) and I'm the only tenant in the house myself and my wife. My wife works in Lagos while I work in Ibadan, mostly I'm the only one at home since my wife works in Lagos. I worked from Monday to Saturday while my landlord himself only work from Monday to Friday, the rest of the family stay at home from morning till night everyday. We don't use to have light in my area so we use generator to pump water which belongs to my Landlord.

He asked me to be buying fuel whenever the water has finished that was when the fuel is still 220 per liter, now the fuel is 600 and yet I do buy. But to my surprised now is that I will drop money for fuel and the water will be pump on Sunday and finished on Tuesday or sometime Wednesday.

He will then pump the water that can that can sustain us till Friday and the water will be finished again. So he is expecting me to drop another money for pumping.

Since I'm the only one use to be at home during the weekend, I decided to go get the water from the source. I only need it to bath and go to work. For cooking, I buy pure water since is only for mouth alone.

Less see who will fleel the water more.

Change the mindset. One litre of water for three days for a crowded people is okay. You make it twice a week, 1,200 Naira and leave fight alone

Or buy four blue drums in your house totalling 1,000 litres

Why not get a big storage drum. Fill it to capacity then use the normal as usual. If water finish for over head tank, lock your door well to avoid disturbance. Tell him you will only provide money for pumping anytime there is no light and you don't have water. You can't be supporting someone else misplaced expense
