Tribal Consciousness: Why Am I Happy When I See Yoruba Get Appointed By Tinubu?

I am the most detribalised Nigerian and believe in the meritocratic appointment of all the ethic groups that constitute this geographical space. However, when I see him appoint Yoruba's from my ethnic stock I feel happy, just like he is tugging at an innate tribal consciousness which I never knew existed.

Regardless I can never support Tinubu due to his corrupt antecedents both past and present.

Even as that, is better for them to occupy those positions than Core northerners (Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri). Those guys are proud illiterates that deserve to be taught a lesson.

This will also awake fools that we call leaders in SE to start supporting their brothers.

It is better to think of tomorrow, we all condemned Buhari for this nonsense...if it becomes a norm, democracy will be threatened, elections becomes winner takes all and you can guess where that will lead to.

Although I am happy to see Yorubas in good offices I am also very conscious of tommorow when a non Yoruba will be in government.

OBJ's template is the best, carry everyone along! That's the only way to build a strong democracy.
