copied from FB If Omari, Moreira and Angelo have quality loan spells and come back better players, some of the current wingers at the club at the moment will have serious problems keeping their status. They need to up their games too. That's the whole point of buying youngsters, not all will succeed but the ones that survived will not only create competition but at quality depth to our squad but mofos are so short sighted. |

FBS:Is it not good performance and creating Chances that leads to scoring goals and winning matches. |

East Anglian Daily Times on Omari Hutchinson's performance against Southampton: “Impeccable first half on his first senior start. A couple of moments where he didn’t quit make the right pass, but his decision making has improved hugely. The tackle for his goal was excellent, as was the finish, and he continued to cause Southampton’s back line all sorts of problems with his movement and energy.” |

Paul Merson on Jackson: “There’s a lot of pressure for a young lad who was playing in Spain and now is spearheading a team who is expected to win football matches because of the money they spent. I don’t think it’s fair on him, so I’d definitely give him more time. Though [Mauricio] Pochettino would take him out of the firing line if he could.” {Sky Sports} |

Kimbeast:So you've not seen where a team plays horrible bad, on the defensive end for 90 minutes and then smash and grab? ![]() And still boils down to the same thing. GOALS! I'm interested in only 3 things - - Saves to keep you in the game "Assists" - dependent on the main thing - - Goals to win you the games. Chikena. All these number of touches, xg, xos and what not don't mean nada if you ain't scoring. |

FBS:If you are a fan of playing nonsense and getting results then that's on you. They are others that wants us to dominate games while winning. Our performance this season has been good without the results to show for it. Keep up with the performance and the results will follow. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by FBS: 12:02pm On Sep 20, 2023 |
Kimbeast:You are missing the point. How can you say this season has been good without results to show for it? Really?? Pre-season was fine. Against Liverpool was OK. After that? Its been downhill. Zero performance, Zero goals. One win in how many matches now ?You need to score goals to win matches, na so e be since the inception of this game and that's not gonna change anytime soon. Nobody awards a trophy for just performance. Gast to back them up with GOALS! If you are happy with this nonsense of a performance and no goals- that's on you. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Kimbeast: 12:12pm On Sep 20, 2023 |
FBS:We have dominated all the games we have played this season from Liverpool, to Westham and last week against Bournemouth. Dominated possession, created numerous chances we haven't taken and restricted all our opponents to few Chance against us. You are just results oriented shouting goals up and down without looking at the performance in. I guess if we packed the bus for 90mins and get lucky with a goal you will be happy and call it a good performance because we scored. Our performance metrics and underlying stats already shows we are on the right track and results will definitely follow if we keep performing like we have been doing. You should stop watching football and just use livescore since that's all you care about. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by WhoDeyHause: 12:14pm On Sep 20, 2023 |
Kimbeast:What was the beautiful dominating football we played to win our two champions league cups? What was the beautiful dominating football Mourinho and Conte gave us to win almost all our premier league titles? Last season under Potter we were dominating teams and stats yet he was sent away because we hardly found the back of the net. Lamps dominated real Madrid at Stamford bridge yet we didn't score a single goal home and away while they scored four. Until our players suddenly become more clinical facing the goal or we getting more goalscorers in the team we will just be playing beautiful nonsense. |

Kimbeast:How are we on the right track if we are struggling to beat Luton? What are you on about? Underlying metric ko, overlaying calculations ni. Dominated Westham? Se by ball possession or what exactly ![]() They had 6 shots on target we had 4. They scored 3 goals and we scored 1. Tell me please, how exactly did we dominate? ![]() |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ballzproblemm: 12:22pm On Sep 20, 2023 |
one goal one assist in 6 appearances for Hutchinson not a bad start. Boehly will probably sell him down the line and buy another expensive winger with no techniques 🤐 |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Kimbeast: 12:27pm On Sep 20, 2023 |
WhoDeyHause:What are you talking about. We were dominant during our champions league run under Tuchel. Conte and Mourinho had us playing dominating football as well when we won those trophies. If you don't create chances how will your players see those chances to be clinical with. If you don't play dominant football how will you see results on a long term basis. Results will always match performances over a long term and we are on the right track going by all the available underlying metric. |

Between 1994 & 1999, Ronaldo Nazário scored 115 goals in 134 games before his first knee injury. That was between age 17 & 22, doing it in both La Liga & Serie A. He was facing defenders like Paolo Maldini, Fernando Hierro, Franco Baresi, Desailly, Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Costacurta, Nesta, Cannavaro, Thuram, etc. "You couldn't mark him: with his first touch he beat you, with his second he burned you, then with his third he humiliated you. He was like an alien" - Cannavaro "Ronaldo was the only time I saw Maldini worried. He said to me 'Marcel, you have to stay around me. I need your help here, we have to double up on him'. He was amazing, a magician." - Marcel Deasilly Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, the only player to ever scare Paolo Maldini! Maldini - "I was lucky enough to play against Ronaldo. He was just Phenomenal , and most difficult opponent ever faced. After Maradona He is the greatest player I’ve ever seen.” Phenomenon!

🚨 Ian Maatsen’s path is muddied by positional uncertainty. Pochettino’s use of Colwill at left-back does not help him, nor does the failure to offload Marc Cucurella. Competing for attacking midfield minutes looks no easier with Cole Palmer added. (@liam_twomey & @TheAthleticFC)na pochettino fault, colwill insist a left back and he should stop playing maatsen as attacker |

What’s this myth about dominating teams, what I see is teams letting us have the ball not just because they know we’re toothless, but in the process conserving their energy to when they want to attack, when teams turn the screw on us you see that we run into our shells |

Ian Maatsen’s Chelsea path is muddied by positional uncertainty. Pochettino’s use of Levi Colwill at left-back does not help the 21-year-old Dutchman, nor does the failure to offload Marc Cucurella. - @liam_twomey |
