I need to get my NIN and Passport renewed while I'm in Lagos for a couple of weeks in Dec. I'm assuming there is no option to do them at the same time. Hopefully, I would not like to invest tons of time doing it as well. How long does the NIN reasonably take to get done? What documents would I need? And is it possible to get the passport done in that time as well? Also, being in Dec. does anyone know if the offices will be closed.

Thanks. What's the easiest path? I know I need the NIN first. It says I need a supporting document. My Nigerian passport is expired. Can I still use it? Or can I use my US passport? Is it possible to make an appointment at the NIN office or is it walk in only?

NIN is available everywhere in Nigeria now even people who register Sim card now do it. You can renew your Nigerian passport

Yes, you will do your NIN first, after that you will head over to passport office. They will issue a new passport containing your former details and data

Have they started giving the plastic card of nin? I was given a paper print 3yrs ago at the registration venue and ever since I don't know anything about it again.

You can print it from road side agents for 2500 or so.
