The celebration on that day was massive in my area not just because of Nigeria independent but because some pple marked their 50th birthday with their nation independent, it was a milestone.
You kwn what 50th birthday celebrations means, thats GOLDEN JUBILEE.
Moreover the economy then is far better than the present day Nigeria.
