But the fact he won a democratic elections has been sworn in, it is futile fighting who won a democratic election.

If you were democratic you would have accepted your defeat and moved on and learnt from your mistakes.

But No. You wanted an interim government to stall the elections. You wanted military coup to remove the winner of an election. To you guys, a retrogression to military dictatorship is better than a Yoruba man being your president.

To be honest, I do not engage in "deep" or even remotely serious conversations on Nairaland for obvious reasons. However, I must point out that your use of "you" is a generalization that may not represent the person or people you are referring to (not that I know who).

If you are really honest, do you absolutely believe that the presidential election we just had was democratic?. Let's leave fairness out of it. What exactly is your definition of the word "democracy"?.

I have never called for the return of the khaki boys in Nigeria, contrary to your accusation, and I know that the majority of the people in Nigeria feel the same way. That still leaves us with the question of who your "you" is. Look, this is not how we are going to build the Nigeria that you and I will be proud to call home.

I will support Ahmed Tinubu, Adolf Hitler, or anyone for that matter if they will build and heal this country and restore hope to long-suffering Nigerians who have not enjoyed a single day of stability or measurable prosperity since the inception of this country.

It is my conviction that the man who muscled his way in will not take us anywhere near the promised land. The manner of his emergence and his history as a person, some of which are currently making our collective stomachs as Nigerians nauseated as we speak, clearly confirms the foregoing.
