Njamin:Alternatively, inflation will run riot. People can be so unreasonable. Anyways, what is really needed is to trim the civil service and pay them proper salaries that will make them motivated. |

Calabar1stSon:Is this minimum wage scheme only for government workers? If yes, then better because I don't see how it makes sense to force a 100k minimum wage on small businesses when most small business owners ans workers don't produce or make enough to cover that. ![]() I mean 100k minimum wage across the board would mean a househelp would have to be paid a minimum of 100k each month. Many people who currently use househelps don't even make that much, and that would mean less jobs available to hire househelps. So I hope NLC is not trying to push this to cover all sectors. ![]() |

VOsimhen144:your senators, governors , ministers, commissioners etc are all earning millions and looting billions upon billions. Yet you have the audacity to ask why didn't NLC consider 50k or 80k? Dude, why didn't you ask yourself why your senators, commissioners , governors l, ministers etc why didn't they consider accepting 50k or 80k? I don't know what is wrong with you Nigerians. Dude are you aware that your senators all have wardrobe allowance, feeding allowance, pet allowance, kitchen allowance, travel allowance and all manner of allowances for not doing any reasonable work, yet you asked why would NLC increase their demands to 100k and 200k? |

VOsimhen144:In Nigeria you must price something before you buy it, so if they demand 50-80k FG might price it 40-60k, demanding 100-200k means they might seal it at 60-120k. Be like say you no dey go market. And you don't just wake up and start producing things, countries that are producing things are doing that successfully because government carried out their responsibility in creating an enabling environment for industrialization, looking for investors to come and invest in a country without stable electricity and security is the most stupid thing a sitting president can do in this 21st century, foreign investors are not fools. |

This has proven to us that this country doesn't have the mental strength to think. Tufiakwa . A consuming nation that hardly produce or export anything to earn forex is thinking of increasing minimum wage to 100k as if that would solve the problems. Invest heavily in Agriculture and the excess harvest would bring down the price of food and food inflation would be a thing of the past. When there is excess food that is about to spoil, the sellers would be forced to bring down the price. Solve food problems and see the effects it would have on the economy. 100k minimum wage wouldn't solve anything. Sometimes I wonder if this country has economists. Tufiakwa |

I wouldn't spend even a second in this directionless shithole of a country. Nonsensxe. |
