https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/10/igbo-migrated-from-ife-ooni/ The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has challenged academia in Nigerian universities to properly document the history of Yoruba race rather than relying on jaundiced history. He said proper documentation will not only foster unity but reveal the ties across ethnic groups, saying evidence showed that the Igbo race migrated from Ile-Ife. The monarch put the challenge before the academia while addressing journalists ahead of an International Conference on ‘Ile-Ife and Yoruba Civilization: Nexus between Tradition and Modernity’, at his palace in Ife. He said Yoruba race has about a quarter of its history documented, hence, the reason he is collaborating with select universities on the need to properly document the history of the race with a view to enhancing cohesion among the people globally. “We have good evidence to believe that Igbo race has its roots here in Ile-Ife. There is Ile-Igbo here in the palace which was not a recent creation but has been existing here for decades. For this and many other reasons, I believe we need proper documentation of our history,” the Ooni said. “We are not involving government in this project so that we can just place all the facts together, we must write our history properly and put things the right for the coming generations”. Also speaking, a renown professor of history, Siyan Oyeweso, said the conference aims at bringing scholars together to discuss how to properly document the history of Yoruba, with focus on Ile-Ife as the source of the race. Formal governor of Enugu State is from Oba (Orba), there is another community known as Ezike-Oba. obi Cubana is from Oba Anambra State. Chicago, Chibok, China etc are not an Igbo names despite having Chi in the name. Because there's Ile-Igbo in Ile-Ife doesn't mean there's Igbo connection. Sometimes I wonder how Yoruba people and their elders reasons. |

BloomingDale:Let us look at the praise names of oba of benin One of it is Abieyuwa N'Ovbi Odua N'uhe The son of the wealthy Odua of Uhe(Ife). (Odua of Ife is the same as Oduduwa of Ife) Another of oba of benin's praise names is Ovbi' Adimila The son of Adimila Oduduwa was also known as Olofin Adimula Which was his Title So with your own mouth you have already fully demolished and destroyed your case which had no legs to stand on in the first place and have confirmed with your own Mouth that the Oba of Benin was indeed Oduduwa's Son |

The latest I have been hearing from Alhaji Laji Abass the Ibadanland Historian is that the Igbos came out of the Nupe people The Igbos themselves agree that some of them came from the Igala and the Igala themselves say they came from the Nupes too The Nupe History is very Critical to unraveling a lot of Nigeria's History even the Nok People seem to have been Ancestors of the Nupe People And the Nupe and Yorubas used to be the same people because the Land of the Olofin Of Owu reached Kaduna around the 12 th Century in the days of Oranmiyan who also married the Nupe King's Lajomo's Daughter who bore him Alaafin Sango who was from the fourth Alaafin of Oyo Actually Alaafin Sango was raised in the Palace of the Nupe King who was his Grandfather and was fetched from Nupe Land to become the Alaafin of Oyo |

The Father Of All Nigerian Ethnic Groups It is very interesting that most of the Ethnic groups claim association to the Nile Valley, somewhere in Sudan, Egypt etc. but no association to one another in Nigeria. On their way from or to Egypt through what we now know as Nigeria, these Ethnic groups never met? Usually, they were each King or Queen, first lady. Who were their subjects? It may remind you of most of our parents who always took first in their classes when they were students. Who came second? Africans are great sojourners, and they left their genetic traits all over the world. Please see YORUBA WORLD EXPLORATION AND THE LOSS OF DYNASTIES. If Africans were in Australia before the time of Christ, in America before Columbus and spread all over great distances, we should wonder why they never knew or had anything to do with one another until the British created NIGERIA! Apart from the article mentioned above, I also relied on an article by Sola Omole on the Ijaw, another by the Ijaw Nation. Of course, I also depend on different histories of the Ethnic groups. However, I must admit that many are just like blind men describing an elephant we call Nigeria. Each was about its group but not how it relates to Nigeria, the giant of Africa By: Farouk Martins, Omo Aresa 2005 http://www.edo-nation.net/articles/the-father-of-all-nigerian-ethnic-groups-1179 http://www.gamji.com/article5000/NEWS5174.htm |

The core reason why africans behave like headless chickens is because they don't know who they are.The current civilization of Africans is like a fictional script that is being played out just like the palywright desires. The Oba is very right, there are interconnection between tribes and tribal settlements, and because there have been no scientific or archaeological discoveries in subsaharan Africa, people tend to lose sight of those connections and find it easy to believe that they fell from the sky or that they are mohammadans/Isrealites. |

Which kain rubbish be this one now? He should also the Luos from Kenya who share some names with the igbos, also originated from Ile-ife. Igbos have nothing to do with Ile-ife, that is how Reno was capping the that Ijebus are the biblical Jebusites and the original settlers in Jerusalem. Tomorrow they would say the town, Oba in Anambra state is linked to the Yorubas, forgetting Oba means barn in Igbo language, |
