Chimarto:
Formal governor of Enugu State is from Oba (Orba), there is another community known as Ezike-Oba. obi Cubana is from Oba Anambra State. Chicago, Chibok, China etc are not an Igbo names despite having Chi in the name. Because there's Ile-Igbo in Ile-Ife doesn't mean there's Igbo connection. Sometimes I wonder how Yoruba people and their elders reasons.
But you believe Eri an English translated Hebrew name is same person with ERI in Aguleri grin

Not really,

The Oni as the custodian of the Yoruba history and culture,  being concious of the implications of distortion of historical facts of his people, is under obligation to come straight on this.

The fact that, Oba, the 3rd son of Eri - the progneiator of the Igbo race founded Ile Ife is well documented in the Chronicles of Ezeora Iduu Dynasty. It is also well documented in historical research around the world.

To further butress this fact, yesterday, October 8, 2023 the leaders of the the Isokos, Urhobos and Itsikiris, in a facilitation message to His Majesty Eze Dr. Chukwuemeka Eri - the present occupant of the Iduu Eri throne - on the celebration of 2023 World Eri Festival, acknowledged that their ancestors are descendants of Oba, the 3rd son of Eri through Oba - whom the Yorubas refer to as "Obatanla"

What do you mean by ‘’English translated Hebrew name”?

Eri is what he was called in Hebrew.

It’s not a difficult name that needed retranslating. His name was Eri.

There’s no different English translation of the name.

This is no name in English Bible that retained original Hebrew names.
