My good sire, might I tender my humble bias on gold too if it may count...

On EU, just waiting to see it break 1.061. . Key level then I may change my bias to bullish. I am still bearish on EU. I don't trade on Mondays, notice by my journal I always make wrong choice of entry.
So I will be staying away from the chart until Tuesday. On my darwinex challenge i haven't taken a trade yet. Looking for a swing opportunity.
The tension of war happening right now, and how the market closes on Monday is a major part of my strategy. Peace.

Setups I'm looking at. I had to close my GA for a loss on my challenge account because I don't want to incure weekend swap fees when it opens. I'll enter it again later and hopefully it goes well.

My GA TP is is now going to be the -50 extension. And I'll be waiting for a confirmation sell on GU to take out the liquidity below. The reason I'm not going off aggressive is because the momentum is strong.


Unlike last week, this week doesnt promise much but then again, it's too early to tell. I wish everyone a successful trading week.

I kept going through short tweets on trading psychology to overcome the impatience of late.

I plan poorly because I lack adequate power supply as I use my laptop to trade, my area transformer oil don short because them don work and before and my dear fuel na black gold where I Dey stay

I believe gold will gap up at market opening today.
My own opinion is the war is just starting going by what we saw in the news, Lebanon (Hezbollah) had supported and launch an offensive at Israel around Sheba farms.
Recall that they are the 2nd in holding gold reserves after Saudi Arabia in middle East.
Egypt had already attacked and killed 2 isreali tourist in Egypt in addition to Iran supporting Hamas(Palestine).

It's a sure bet that Isreal will respond accordingly to all this attacks.

Interesting weeks ahead as I believe gold market in the Middle East will be slightly not accessible in the coming weeks which inturn create some demand in gold market.
The West have many investor of Jewish origin who may want to turn quickly towards safe haven assets like gold,silver, Swiss franc etc.
I believe strongly in a gold rising quickly.

Personally I believe the xxxusd pump is merely a pullback

I'm begining to think that many losses as day traders or scalpers is because we, including myself, are trying to attempt to predict the market movement without waiting for it to hit the high or low of the previous day precisely.

Or for it to break the previous day high and low

Waiting eliminates many bad trades but could cause one to miss out on some juicy trades...

But I think it's better to get in on a trend than to try to pick a high or low prematurely and get burnt only for the market to do precisely what you anticipated.

Nothing much from my end. I'm having devices challenge, would give an update next week. My advice is to start trading on Wednesday prior to CPI if you already have an understanding of htf but if not, wait after CPI as it could be brutal.

davigle, sorry for what you went through, Friday was a clear buy on indices, also my advice is to journal your trades so that the procedures you took for the winning trade would be followed next time you take a trade.

Weekly candle closed bearish with long wicks above and below, scary. The EQH on the daily was not traded to as anticipated after price took out 18/09/23 low signifying a bearish sms on the daily after the low failed to create a HH.

Price retraced into the range, formed another EQH on 22&25/09/23. It later took out 21/09/23 low which caused the push up and also failed to create a HH. Price retraced into the range from Thursday and Friday this week. I would be anticipating price to draw to the low of the bearish range for this week.

While barchart is showing a weak sell, Commercials are still net long according to COT report, focus is on the hedging program and IOF on the daily. The hedging program is bullish as it is above the zero line but IOF is bearish after the last sms which was bearish, we wait to see what Monday presents. Also, Open interest dropped while price is in premium of the current dealing range so I am anticipating a drop.

I will be aiming for 65 pips every week
Will take the next three months to test run this new stuff if i can hit 65 pips consistently 8weeks out of 12, thats a good progress, so it will eventually take 18 months to conclude phase one and phase two ....
Its far right but i then remembered I've already spent three months and im still in red, so why hurry when i can take it slowly....
So i will still be updating my record like i use to before i deviated due to bad habbit

200k account is 0.9% in DD.
6k account 2.5% in DD
And 10k account 5.4% in Dd.
Its a mess

You're on the right track bro.
It's a process, and this phase shall pass. Focus is all we need.

This is cpi week.
It doesn't hurt to stay on the sidelines but if you decide to trade, trade wisely.

Thank you sir for your kind response. I didn't see that until it was late for me, hence I have decided to focus on indices henceforth because I noticed that price delivery is much better on indices than currencies . and I will make sure I try and journal every day which is one of my biggest week point. I really have not been consistent with journaling. if I may ask sir, do you also journal on paperback (book). so far the only way I've been journaling is by annotating my charts and then screenshot it and keep it in a folder. but if you have better tips or suggestions on journaling, I humbly welcome them.

Large gap occurs in Oil prices today, even gaps seen in the daily timeframe, often after gap then the prices recover the gap, however not always like that, when looked market structure, oil prices already enter oversold level and tries away from the line. Recent news oil market, Germany is considering extending the price caps on gas and electricity prices until the end of the coming winter in March 2024.
