Gath: This is another significant Philistine city that has been present since ancient times. It was one of the largest cities in the Middle East and is famously known as the birthplace of the biblical figure Goliath.

East Jerusalem: The entire city of Jerusalem was originally founded by the Canaanites before Israel claim that God has given it to them.

In an effort to achieve peace, Jerusalem was divided into two parts - West Jerusalem controlled by Israel, and East Jerusalem controlled by Palestine.

However, Israel unlawfully took control of East Jerusalem. They have been demolishing Palestinian houses and buildings ever since then which has been widely critized by many people, even the UN.

But Bethelem, Hebron, Jericho were all part of Israel. Historically : Nablus, known as the site of biblical Shechem. Please enlightening me historical with facts and dates

So you will agree with me that the only reason why Israel is refusing to give up Palestine is pride as it views all terrories taken during the 6day war as war bounty and nothing more. Even when you look at the map....it's disjointed with places in Israel and Palestine intertwined you can't even clearly make out Israel land.

Yes I agree....the Palestinians lost a war with Israel and the land.

But does that justify the apatheid in the 21st century?

If u trace back this conflict, u will read that the UN initially was an arbitrator before d establishment of Israel and had a partition plan which gave Israel only about 30% and d Arabs ( cos no one was called Palestinians then, both Jews and Arabs were Palestinians) were allowed 70%. While d Jews accepted d UN partition, d Arabs rejected it cos they believed they had the upper hand to crush the Jews. War followed and d Jews defeated them and expanded far beyond what d UN plan gave them in d interest of their security. Do u blame them? Cos they had to fight and defeat 5 or 6 Arab states combined and in every war they kept defeating d Arabs and extending their territory. Those Arabs only became Palestinians after d 1967 war when Israel took East Jerusalem and West Bank
My take is that both sides have to make concessions. But d Palestinians are d weaker side whether they accept it or not and have to make more concessions. But Hamas won't allow them. In Gaza today, no elections have been held in almost 20 yrs,what legitimacy does Hamas have to rule them? But any little protest against Hamas, d people will be executed. So Hamas has to be crushed totally so that d Palestinians can breathe and elect a reasonable group of people who would be able to negotiate,make compromises and deliver a Palestinian state for them. I tell u with Hamas, d status quo will remain
