Tinubu Certificate: Why BBC Is Wrong. by Penguin2(op):
I must admit that I was shocked (as I know many must have been) to see the BBC article which exonerated Tinubu of forgery. However, I was only shocked but not surprised.

I was not surprised because I know the extent that the people we are dealing with can go. I was also not surprised because I know that BBC would always serve UK’s interest. And what is UK’s interest? That Nigeria (and their other feeding bottles) remain in ruins so that Nigerians can continue to remit billions of pounds to British Treasury in trying to escape the cesspit that the country has become.

So, in whichever perspective you look at it, BBC’s article is not a product of unbiased analysis or reportage. It’s either they were bought or they were simply serving the interest of their country.

Or how would you justify the fact that BBC never followed nor reported the entire Chicago Court Proceedings on the Tinubu Certificate saga only for them to wake from their pretended slumber after the CSU record had been made public to do a biased fact check and completely exonerate Tinubu of any wrongdoing in the process.

Why this is troubling is because BBC is a big enough platform whose opinion is enough to serve as reference point for other opinion molders and for even the Supreme Court to hang onto and spare Tinubu.

But had they done an unbiased job, it would have been better. Rather they closed their eyes on a lot of questions raised by Tinubu’s CSU records and focused only on whether the diploma that Tinubu submitted to INEC is fake or not.

Or why did it not matter to BBC that the qualifying degree that Tinubu used to gain admission into CSU has “F” boldly written on it which indicates that it belongs to a female?

Why did it not matter to BBC that from CSU records, Tinubu claimed to have attended Government College, Lagos and graduated from the school in 1970 while the school was actually established in 1974?

Why did it not matter to BBC that from CSU records, Tinubu now has up to 3 dates of birth?

Why did it not matter to BBC that speaking at Chatham House in 2022, Tinubu told the world that he had gotten his “Original Replacement Degree Certificates” from CSU only for “Third Party Vendors” to start flying around after Tinubu’s certificate had been released to the public and a lot of discrepancies noticed?

BBC chose rather to base its biased and deficient position on the testimony of CSU Registrar. But how reliable is his testimony in court? How are we sure that the things the Registrar said in court are the truth? What if he told some lies just to help cover CSU’s complicity in the whole mess?

Are facts not meant to be questioned? How far did BBC go in questioning what they relied on as fact?.

So, it’s simple, I know that some people are celebrating the BBC report and would quote it as authority for as long as it serves their purpose, but I want them to know that sane and discerning Nigerians are not deceived.

And the fact that the report is from BBC doesn’t make it infallible, incontrovertible and unquestionable.

If it pains you that much, go and start your news agency and write your own article and publish to a global audience

The BBC took its time, did a thorough investigation, contacted the school and have published their finds. You can publish yours

BTW, you are not a Supreme Court judge, neither is the BBC and they will rule on the matter based on facts before them and not your feelings

Tinubu only granted an interview to one Media house during campaign. That was BBC. They were the only ones that agreed to act Tinubu's script. Jagaban has BBC in his pocket. Expect more

I’m not expecting any contrary reaction from you guys. That would be me deceiving myself.

But I ask you again, why did BBC ignore other observable discrepancies in Tinubu’s certificate to focus only on whether Diploma was forged or not?

Not like I don’t know.

Just surprised that BBC could make their platform available for such thing.

It’s the lowest of lows such a platform can go.

Penguin 2 it's been a while here, you are rarely seen or heard of here since after the PEPT Judgement, what's good nah?

Oya, start mobilizing your people to start boycotting anything BBC😁😂.. they are compromised.

On a more serious note, Courts or Authorites anywhere in the World will reckon with whatever the Official position of the CSU via its Registrar than any other Opinions.. anything aside theirs is a mere Speculation.. Imagine if CSU had affirmed your belleive that Tinubu never attended their School? Would you still have said the Man is prolly telling lies? You wouldn't have! So my Brother, tell yourself & others to eat the humble pie & accept that the Assumption that Tinubu never attended & graduated from CSU was just a misconception.. Follow the path of Kperogi. Thanks

Well, I’ve been maintaining a studied silence.

The PEPT judges went so low that even Tinubu supporters were dumbstruck. So, there was no need reacting to it.

I don’t know how conversant you are with our laws but you know if they things they said are upheld by the Supreme Court, we would be setting a very dangerous precedent for ourselves.

But I guess it’s all good since it serves Tinubu’s purpose.

About what you said about BBC’s reportage on Tinubu Diploma….

I totally agree with you that anyone reporting on the CSU case will report what the registrar said as the official position.

But my question still remains, was the authenticity of the Tinubu’s Diploma the only offshoot of the CSU certificate saga?

Why is BBC closing its eyes to other obvious questions begging for answers?

Isn’t that bias?

Well they(BBC)did mention contacting Tinubu or his aides for clarification on the supposed Questions but didn't get Response before the press time.

Again, the headline & the details of the reportage were in order in my Opinion.. They simply said "There is no Proof Tinubu forged his CSU Certificate" fact checking the whole Transcript of the Deposition, there is indeed no proof that he forged his certificate but instead, there is a substantial Proof by the Testimony of the Registrar that he attended & graduated from the School.. So by the deposition & their supposed findings they couldn't have said "there's a proof"

So they did a balance & non partisan report on the subject matter unlike what we have around..
