Hi everyone.
I drive a benz c230 2006.
Whenever I drive, I get an MPG of 18 to 19MPG.
Three days ago, I gave my friend the car and I sat on the front passenger seat while he drove us. When we checked the MPG on the dashboard, I was surprised to see 27MPG. So I'm curious, I know it'd be the driving pattern. He is a better driver than I am. I have called on him to come to my place to teach me how he's driving.

I want to know how you drive to save fuel. I need to start saving fuel while I drive.

The car knows that u have money and ur friends are poor so him dey sorry for them.

You need to ask Jason Statham how he did TRANSPORTER 1,2 & 3 without going to the filling station.

It's an old model...high mileage engine . Sell it and buy Honda civic 08 model

Apart from any mechanical fault in a car, two things dat consumes fuel most is too much speed n too much load... I think ur friend knows how to maintain a particular speed dat needs him not to be matching the accelerator often...

Automatic or manual transmission?

Or you are driving with both legs pressing both brake and throttle

Start driving like you don't have brakes. You'll notice that you match or even surpass your friend's mpg.

Your friend always fuels the car once he is driving

You throttle hard, I don't rev past 3000rpm while driving on mainroad, even in the streets I don't throttle sef, just release the brake and let the car roll, if I wants to climb I throttle softly.
Entering the mainroad sef 1500rpm - 2500rpm highest,
When you drive like this for a week, you'll notice your car would be quieter, smooth gear change, fuel efficient and always clean when it rains.

keep a light feet on the accerlator no matter the temptation from the engine,I watched an episode of top gear were similar fuel was put in a Toyota Corolla and a BMW v6 salon and they were raced around a circuit,as the Corolla driver is trying to catch the BMW by using all power,the fuel finished first in the corolla,while stamping down the throttle to match the BMW effortless power the 4 cylinder Corolla was less fuel efficient than a 6 cylinder bmw
