Two Bus Rapid Transport, known as BRT, were involved in a head-on collision on Tuesday in the Dopemu area of Lagos.

Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, disclosed this in an online video on its official X handle, confirming several persons were injured.

According to the agency, the incident had led to traffic congestion along the axis.

However, no person has been reported dead.

“Effect of this occurrence on traffic is minimal; however, our officers, as well as all other concerned authorities, including men of the Nigerian Police Force, are on the ground there doing the needful”, LASTMA stated.

When filing this report, LASTMA officials were seen at the accident venue transloading the content of one of the trailers.

There's a turning in that spot where those drivers get impatient.

Lagos State government needs to make extra effort to decongest the state. How can a tiny land be housing over 20 million people? There's hardly a day in Lagos that bad news doesn't happen. That state is darn overcrowded.

There’s a fundamental problem with Africa.

An accident happens, no root cause analysis and problem management processes

Same thing continue to happen again and again and na we pray pass

Sigh... How do you give such buses to Thugs and louts to man?!!

The only difference between most BRT drivers and the ones that drive Danfo is just the uniform.

Same alcohol and drug guzzling lowlifes from the same Lagos criminal cesspool.

Do not always judge until you get the full details of what happened. The bus driver was trying to avoid hitting an on coming biker and his passenger while also on full speed.
